if you've just joined...
i suggest you stick around and read for a while...
There is plenty of great info here! Also, it will give you a chance to familiarize yourself with the regulars, so that when you need a hand, you know who to approach...
Check the WSO section also, but my first recommendation would be NOT to buy right away...

  This place is a gold mine, READ READ READ until you cannot stand it anymore...
  
  Then start getting involved. After that check out the WSO section and find something that you might be interested in. Read reviews carefully and only go with ones that thave actual posts with reviews in them!

  I would try to read as much as possible, but also start taking some notes on things that stick out to you.
  
  If an idea seems great don't leave it up to your brain to hold onto it. Write it down. There are far too many great ideas on this site than you could ever commit to memory so keep a good idea journal.
  
  Also by writing down your good ideas you will help burn those ideas into your subconscious. Which can be very beneficial down the road.
