About Free Reports and stuff

Okay, most of websites use it like this. They promote a "free" product to you and you enter your name and email address (on their site). In 90% of cases you never get that download link. So are they building a list of emails to spam them with their products or what?

It is not spam if they opt-in to get the freebie.

After all, they had a choice.

There are other reasons that can happen. Maybe your email provider flagged them as spam, so check your spam folder. Or it was just "bounced" or lost in cyberspace. Sometimes they can take a few minutes to show up.

I think you thanked me for one of my free WSO's, if you never received it, please tell me right away and I'll send it to you manually. It's the list building one in my signature. Hope you're just talking about "in general" and not me specifically. Haha.

I think I didn't post or downloaded but you can send me via Pm's.

If you do not get the link, just mail the person to let them know and most would send it to you manually. You must have been really interested to put in your name and email address and then opt-in.

Then again, maybe you didn't opt-in and in that case you most likely wouldn't receive the 'Free' report.

I think it's because of my new email provider, Bigstring.com. Well, I will receive an email when I send it from different one but I've never received any registrations or similar. :S

There are some "free" offers that are really good but in the end your details get sold to third party. Or doesn't it happen?

I know that is why some people suggest that you don't require people to validate their e-mail address. If someone fills in the form, give them the free product. If it is a serious buyer, you will get a serious e-mail address. If they aren't serious, why bother with them?

You have a good point there. Also, that's good for email advertising.
