I haven't got a clue how you can monetize with Google+ platform, especially due to the lack of people using it.

  I saw that article too and I do see a lot of activity in my g+ streams. I like how easy it is to manage my circles so the people whose posts I most want to see standout over other posts. It means I don't have to waste time wading through noise. I'm excited to see how the platform changes over time.

Google+ is not being used much for earning money as compared to its competitor Facebook ads.

You can use Google+ to build up a list of contacts and then use other methods to send them to a Squeeze page or a special offer.

I have also seen some people selling google+ contacts at cheap rates like they sell Facebook likes /fans.

Search for clients through google maps, groupon !!

visit there website.
see if they have a google+ business page
If not, create one for them and then contact them {cold calling pr e-mails}
sell them the business page

I have got tons of money from clients sitting in UK, Canada for facebook fan pages development!!!

Before approaching them, make sure you have a few demos ready as well as you can use a video or a document like why is social media presence necessary for the business and what can a google plus business page do for you???

Once I usually get a client for custom facebook pages development, I upsell them my google plus services and so on!!!

Actually there was a post of how someone built a list of Google+ contacts and later marketed a high-end product to them and made bank. So I suppose that's the way to go with G+.

The only way people I know personally are earning from Google + at this point is by creating business pages and then selling them to local businesses. It just takes a short amount of time to create the page and some companies are willing to pay a decent amount for them.

You can't earn money directly from Google +. But the traffic that comes from Google + can give money as long as they're targeted traffic.

Most business pages doesn't also earn money directly from Google +. They just promote their offers there.

If they get an influx of users, you'll see more trying to monetize it. If Facebook sticks every users with their timeline (aka bad myspace theme) pages and their 7 days or it becomes public policy. I think it's going to get them in some hot water and it could spark a good number of people to look for an alternative like Google +. But for now Facebook is king. Google + needs to show they can give a better experience and more security when linking to family and friends as well as offer all the top social network games which is a big part of the traffic these sites generate.

People will monetize Google + more and more in the coming year or two. Right now there are some opportunities.... Just like there are tons of ways to profit from your facebook site, there will be more and more ways to profit from Google + as innovative marketers figure it out. Of course, if you lead the wave instead of ride the wave, you will be much better off.

Right now, Google + is a huge asset in developing your internet brand. I get more interaction from 200 people there than I can from 11,000 followers on Twitter. Working with Google + will certainly boost any search engine rankings. You will be able to forge relationships there that will help future marketing efforts.

I have recently started with Google + for some websites... haven't grown the circle Bigger yet.... will be working some week ends on it and then will try to monetize it... One of my friend runs a blog and he started off with the Google + some what around 2 months back and now he is getting more traffic than Facebook from Google +. Actually the niche he is targeting has grown quite well on Google +....

I've been trying to use Google+ but it's like talking to myself in an empty hallway. I liked the idea of building a business page for a company and selling it, though - very clever and a great way to make some money from Google+ before people actually start using it.

I am finding it is a great way to target people a number of niches at the same time keeping your posts specific to each niche circle. I also love the way you can checkout each individual stream. Like mentioned above offering a circle with specific invite only information is a great way to monetise G+ and it is something I am looking into.

Oh there are going to be a lot of people making money through GPlus,
and Gplus Pages over the coming months and years.
Notice I said through.

Unless you sell a service around GPlus you are not going to "make money" off of Gplus.
Now can you send traffic to your offers? without a doubt!
Can you build a brand and a following?
You BET!
