With amazon you need to sell a lot of stuff to make nice commissions because they offer only 4% which can be bumped up to 9% if you make a lot of sales with a month.

I promote a lot of Amazon Products and make nice commissions but if I was starting out and I was going to choose between Amazon or CPA I would definitely go with CPA.

Reasons being...1st with CPA you don't even have to sell stuff to make commissions...you know those email offers they ROCK if you know how to drive traffic to them and some companies are paying up to 10$ per lead.

Digital products are worth looking in as well because the overhead is so low you can get up to 75% commission per sale you make. Some networks like Clickbank, Paydotcom, Plimus etc have this kind of products.

A lot of people start out with amazon because there's virtually an unlimited number of products to sell, and almost every IM method can work with amazon.

Amazon works well if you're doing SEO because of the massive number of different product names and models, which can mean low competition.

CPA (using zip and email submits) can work with twitter of you take the time to build up a targeted account, but most of the big CPA bucks are made with paid traffic and an accurate tracking system.

You can get traffic from free sources such as youtube, offline marketing, and classifieds. But I do like your Twitter Account source.
