Hi,

How can I increase open rates for my list?

I use free videos on series highlighting starting work from home based business but how else can this be achieved?

If you're asking for open rates in your emails, remember it's always about two things:

The sender and then the title of the email.

Create a reputation about your persona first so when people see your email they would go as "Oh yeah!! I remember this guy... He's cool, I'll check out his email first"

Then for email titles, use the oldest trick in the book: CURIOSITY.

    Hope this help you!

I have awesome luck by letting people know in the welcome email what to expect. I let them know how their content will be delivered (say I'm doing a 10 part course) and they need to look for sender XXX in their inbox and actually open the email to get the content.

I also let them know up front that I will be promoting as well as sending additional content.

Then I work really hard at building a very good relationship with the list. Lots of great content, only promote stuff that I think will actually help them, etc.

I have open rates on 2 of my lists (my biggest 2) of over 40% and I'm no copywriting guru.

The idea is to get people waiting on your next email, not hoping they open it because of a catchy subject line.

Don't get me wrong, the subject matters. But much less if people actually want your emails.

There is one list I'm on that I never even read the subject line. I open every email they send. They provide awesome content that's really relevant to what I'm doing.

You want subscribers like that. The other 2,000 lists I'm on just to swipe ideas, I only open when I have time and I would never consider buying from 99% of those.

Make sure your titles are well thought out! Check at what the pros are doing and learn from them, obviously they have to be doing something right.

Use double opt in, be very clear on what they are signing up for, let them know what to expect, and then deliver.. Obviously your subject lines and copy will have something to do with your open rates as well. Some lists I'm on though I love receiving the email so I rarely look at the subject. If I see its from someone I like reading, I open it immediately.

Concentrate on writing better headlines. As a rule, I subscribe to a great number of lists of other marketers and actually have a great bank of subject titles that I can twist for my own campaigns.

This however presupposes that you already have a good relationship with your subscribers

It all lies on the headline itself...one tip is to get on the list of your competitors and learn how they do it..

Just super Super Hot Title - let them think that if they don't open it - they will "loose 10M dollars..."
    I never use boring subjects

To increase your open rates, focus on building a strong
reputation for delivering what your subscribers want.

Send such valuable content and offers that your
subscribers look out for your e-mails and name in
    their inbox.

The 'From field' is a important factor in open rates...

When people know that you consistently deliver valuable
e-mails, they'll be more likely to want to open all of your
    future e-mails.

The subject line you use is also highly influential on the
open rates you get for your e-mails.

Make sure that your e-mail content delivers on the promise
    in the subject line.

Use subject lines that get people curious about what's
inside the e-mail so that they really, really want to open
    up and see.

    Dedicated to mutual success,

    Shaun

I go through my junk mail folder and scan through them for the titles that grab me. Then I'll test variations with my lists.

Open rates is all about headlines. Split test them. Try using headlines that is a sentence or try a headline that's a question. So far, questions have been working well for me since it generates curiosity. Another factor could be the time you sent the email. Again, split test. Whatever time you get the most opens, then send emails on that time.
