Took me a bit of time to realize but....

Hey all,

Just the other day while looking in the warroom I found this cool tidbit of a site called IFTTT.com If this then that...

Its point is to automate certain tasks you may do on a regular or semiregular basis.... Any way, I have heard people saying automation is key systems are key to your success, etc....

Sorry to say but I didnt think that these things would make things much easier until I got into this site....

Instead of going on this long old diatribe on how i found it out, etc I am going to get right into the meat of the process I have set up for my business.

This is the flow of how I post to my blog now and simultaneously post on twitter, my facebook fan page and linkedin.

The whole site works on what are called channels such as a phone call channel. In each channel there are triggers and actions. Any way you can find out all you need about this stuff on the site. So what I did is activated the phone call channel and stuck it to my activated wordpress blog channel for one task in the next task I set up a tweet to go out when a new post is put up on my blog. Another task is set to send out to my facebook page when the twitter update is posted and finally a post to linked in when the facebook page is updated.

It may seem complicated, but since I dont like to type and this stuff even includes ways to access the mp3 audio I figured it would be the perfect way to automate and systematize blog posting, social media interactions AND deep backlinking from major PR websites...
