The Mysterious Case Of Diminishing ClickBank Sales

Not usually one to whinge and complain that much, I have recently been experiencing some very strange sales statistics on ClickBank (I am promoting as an affiliate)

Every single pay period my conversion rate and total sales have dropped by around 10% since Christmas, despite traffic actually increasing.

However, last pay period my total sales were less than half of usual (around $240 when I was previously earning around $500-$600 pw) There was simply nothing I could do on "my end" to explain this- my conversions on my top product had gone from around 1/80 to many days 1/300.

This pay period I have had nearly 600 hops with not one sale, and ClickBank appear to be refusing to return any emails requesting assistance.

What should I do next? Perhaps swap to another ClickBank account and see if that helps? Harass ClickBank via email and telephone and try to get an answer? Locate the nearest bridge and fling myself from it?

If anyone else has been experiencing similar issues, or have concerns about ClickBank please feel free to share them, as I am more than keen to hear them!

Regards,

Sam Frost

I may be wrong, but this sounds like your affiliate id has been hijacked. Anyone care to correct me on this?

It could be a problem with the product owners page, try contacting the product owner and explaining this to him. If he cares about his affiliates and making money he will try and assist you in figuring out the problem.

If you have no success with this then try promoting a new product.

There's simply too many variables here to take a guess...where is your traffic coming from?

Don't know if this helps much, but I usually make 1-2 sales 4-5 times a week but I haven't made a sale in 14 days.
Very depressing - and I'm promoting more than 1 CB product on the same site so it doesn't appear to be the particular product - just CB in general.

It's gradually worsened since last summer. I'm seriously ready to give up, too. Either CB links can't be trusted or too many people are promoting the same or similar products in this niche.

i am begining to distrust incentaclick because of extremly low conversion rates. it was something like .86% on a free, no cc signup, that had the illusion of being incentized to the visitor

Build a similar product as the one you are promoting and have it to your own payment processor see if the traffic converts to that.
