I can't make any money, can someone please help a rookie?

Hello. I am starting out this thread in hope to find someone with a good genuine heart to help me succeed online and make good money.

I am not looking to make thousands online and be rich. I just want to learn how to make 50 to 100 dollars per day.

When I was unemployed, I spend more of my unemployment money on studying internet marketing, for example Chris Farrell membership. Unfortunetely I ran out of my unemployment money and I couldn't study anymore since it was a paid membership.

At that time I didn't know anything about Warrior Forum.

Then last year I finally got a job and started working at a warehouse. I make 11/hr but after paying all of my bills and helping my mom out with the utilities I only have about 200 dollars left. Out of that I have to spend 10 for my hosting cost, which leaves me with $190 bucks.

I have spend a few hundreds dollars on warrior forum to have7 sites built for me. 2 of my sites promote clickbank products and the other 5 are adsense sites.

I have spend money on lots of fiverr gigs on backlinks and I can not rank any of my sites. I barely have time to study because when I get home I am so tired from work. Nevertheless I still try to spend at least 1 to 2 hours per day reading and learning things here on warrior forum.

The problem with that is that I am not sure who is right as everytime I read a thread I hear so many different opinions and it seems everyone in here thinks they are right and the other person is wrong.

Also I have purchased a few wso specials that say that they are for begginners but for some reason I get stuck and I can't understand crap. I asked for help and I get a response either a few days later or the answer they give me I can't understand the meaning of it. I get so frustrated and don't know what to do.

I have all of this sites and I don't know what to do. One of my sites was on the first page of google for a while and I mande my first clickbank sale on January 22nd. Then my site just disappear. When I ask other people who are offering a one page google guarantee, they tell me my keyword is too hard to rank for. I don't know how to sell it on flippa and I don't want to waste the $19 dollars fee because it won't sale since it only made one clickbank sale in one month. I've tried selling a site like that before and it didn't sell. I know so of you might say, is only $19 dollars who cares, but to me that is alot of money because I hardly make anything.

Only one of my adsense sites in on the first page of google position 7 but is not making me any money and this keyword has 5,400 exaclt global searches per month. There goes another disappointment. I don't want to be one of those 98% that quits. I refuse to. But at the same time I feel so frustrated because I just can't learn nothing and can get someone to help me.

I did get one person in here that was going to coach me and he sounded very sincere, but then again I knew there was a catch to his sincerity when he said he charges 800 dollars per month. Where the heck am I going to come up with that money when I only have less than 200 dollars per month to spend on backlinks. Anyways I don't even know where to begin.

I am so frustrated with this whole internet marketing thing.

Maybe there are some lucky people in this world that their life changes around because some genuine internet guru help them change their life around for free. But maybe that is one in a million. I wish that was me.

Want to here one funny thing, sometimes when I see the new clickbank product videos and I see the clickbank earning snapshot, I paused the video, I open up my calculator and I pretend that money was mine earnings and I added up. Then when I have the total, I start subtracting all of my bills, my mom bills, and then I still have thousands left in which I use to invest in ranking my sites to the first page of google to get lots of organic traffic. LOL

Sorry my imagination only takes me so far.....

I wish someone in here can coach me. I am so lost and I don't even consider myself a beginner because when someone talks to me about certains things I get lost and can't follow along. I know this thread is probably going to get me lots of bad criticism, but I guess I deserved it.

I've been meaning to write this for a long time, but my frustration finally exploded today.

Everyday I wake up high up saying I am going to make it but then my brain shuts down and I have no clue what i am doing. What am I suppose to do with my sites?

Can they make me money? Maybe, but I have no clear path and don't know how to rank them or the high budget to do it. That's why I just randomly just choose a backlink fiverr gig by rating and hope for the best. Nothing is working

Hope someone in here can help me.

    You are not dumb. You are however, jumping all over the place and spending money without really knowing what you are doing.

    Stop. Take a breath. Think about what it is you enjoy doing in life. What would you love to do for the rest of your life even if it made you no money?

    Once you have a clear idea of what exactly you want, you can start to see if you can make a business out of it.

    If I may make a suggestion? Go to this site: TalkBiz News: What you really need to know to succeed online - Online business building newsletter (not an affiliate link) and download the free book there. Read it! Then read it again.

    Once you have done that, then sit down and plan your business, before you start anything up again.

    Visit this forum regularly even if you are not going to make any contribution, you will be able to stay up to date with the current happenings and above all learn a lot of valuable things for almost free.

    Stop spending and get busy with learning, there are lots of free ways to make money.

    Second, pick one method, one niche and stick with it for a month or more.

    I do not feel like some people are right and others are wrong.

    There are many ways to make money online and many niches to choose from.

    What may work great for one person, may not work at all for someone else.

    I would strongly advise you to STOP buying anything. There is plenty of free stuff on this forum to take you step by step through whatever method you may choose.

    You're not dumb, we've all been there before dude.

    However keep in mind, reading about creating a business isn't going to make one. You have to do that.

    To be honest, I think you've read TOO much. Information overload is just going to make things seem more complicated than they really are.

    So - first things first - I suggest you stop buying all these products, WSO's, backlinks, whatever..

    And also, stop spending your money to 'study' internet marketing. All the information you could EVER need, can be found right here in this forum for free.

    Try swapping out your Adsense spots to CPA/Affiliate banners, or at the very least, adding it alongside your Adsense.

    You can make a hell of a lot more money with CPA & affiliate marketing, and with way faster payouts.

    You said you've made a clickbank sale - I've never used clickbank, so I dont know about their payment system - But I DO know that people complain about their 60 day refund policy.

    So - sign up with the following sites for affiliate products:

    Dear Ray: Here is a story that I heard in the early 1980's, when I was studying aerospace engineering in college. At that time, the Japanese seemingly out of the blue, started launching large space rockets, and doing commercial satellite launches. Everyone asked, "How did they do that?" So I went and dug up the story. It seems in the late 1960's, when NASA was putting men on the moon, the Japanese decided to develop a commercial space program. So they set up shop at an abandoned U.S. airbase in the South Pacific, built a little rocket, and launched it, and it blew up, and everyone laughed. Then they built another little rocket, and launched it successfully, and everyone laughed. Then they built a bigger rocket, and it blew up and everyone laughed. Then they launched a bigger rocket that was still a fraction of the size of our Saturn 5, and everyone laughed. A few years later, they were launching big rockets with other folks satellites on top, and undercutting everyone else's prices, and no one was laughing any more.

    My point is, start small and build on it, and be ready to swallow your failures and learn from them. You got to Page 1 for one 5k search keyword? Good. I did that too, and found it was good for four or five hits per day -- a far cry from 5k per month. You are going to need eight or ten of those page 1 rankings on one site to get any decent traffic -- so get to work. If you got that keyword, then go after some related keywords, and build out the site. If the site is not making money with adsense, find an alternate way to monetize it, BUT DO NOT GIVE UP! Take whatever little success you have, and figure out a way to build on it.

    As far as making $100 per day? Try to get to $100 per month, first. At least that way you have that check coming in once a month to remind you that this really works.

    You should also read some general books on running your own business. I have seen too many wage earners with no business experience try IM. Invariably they expect this to be easier than it is. I have been running my own brick and mortar business for 16 years, and the only way IM is easier than running a brick and mortar business is you do not have to drive a car to work every day, and you do not have to sweep the shop floor every night (unless your wife notices that your computer room needs a good cleaning).

    Other than that, you are the salesman, the product engineer, the quality control guy, the customer service guy, and everything else that running a one person business involves.

    So you feel you wasted money on various IM courses and backlinks? Guess what? Back in the days when people used phone books instead of Google, I wasted plenty of money on yellow page business ads that did not work. That's business.

    Do not give up, but definitely adjust your expectations as to how long this will take, and how difficult it will be. You do have one huge advantage over my brick and mortar business. In that business, no one would ever give me free advice on how to succeed, for fear of the competition. Here at the Warrior Forum, there are lots of folks who will step up and give you helpful advice.

    Infact more than 90% people who make money online suffer from the situation that you are presently in and i am not an exception.
    Just to make you feel homely , i was in the same boat around a couple of years ago. Hunting and buying methods that claim to make money online. But believe me the first dollars i made were not due to any of them.

    Its not about implementing everything that comes your ways ans shouts i will make you money. Its about what you enjoy doing. Relax for a day or two. Flush all the garbage out of your mind and think what was the thing you enjoyed doing most. Work on it and have patience.

    After all those inspiring words , i will definitely offer my help to you. I am an SEO guy and will definitely help you with choosing niches and ranking them to top. PM me so that we can exchange contacts. You remind me of myself.

    EDIT: And of course , i am not gonna charge you anything for helping. Ridiculous that people don't miss taking advantages everywhere.

      I'm also having this kind of problem. I'M HAVING INFORMATION OVERLOAD! I've bought a ton of IM products (Clickbank and WSO's alike) and I can't seem to make it work. I've tried adsense, but Google banned my account. I'm close to giving up because I don't want to end up paying debts. As what I've read, I should do what I'm good at. I'm good at making videos. So, I think, video marketing (direct linking) would be my best choice. The problem is, I can't find FREE information about ranking videos and sticking it to page one. Everything that I saw was PAID. I don't want to waste my money again only to fail.

    I'm very much like you Ray. Only difference I actually began to see some success with Adsense took me nearly 6 months to get to $50/day, then Google banned my account just like that and my hard work, money, effort vanished. Now I'm back to square one. Just stick with it and always keep learning & improving and you'll get there.

    The main thing that kills people's ability to build an online business is looking at it as "how can I make money?"

    As cliche as it sounds, providing value is really the key to success. For example, most Adsense sites that people are generating by the thousands every day have very low quality content on them, and when a real person lands on a site like that, it takes about 5 seconds for them to figure out that the article sucks and doesn't have any insightful information, and they leave.

    Another thing to think about, is a lot of times when you hear a big success story about someone building an online business, most of the time they were building a business around their passion or something they were interested in... and they didn't start in this IM crowd.

    So... instead of working on several sites at a time that strictly set up to "make money", maybe spend the next 6 months on one blog about something you really like...

    One of my most successful sites is an authority-site-in-progress that I work on for at least an hour a day, and the site is made up of tutorials on a technical subject that I know in and out.

    There's got to be something that you either know a lot about, or that you really like doing, that you could blog about at least 3x a week.

      Hello everyone who responded back to my thread.

      I want to first say thank you so much for making me feel a bit better besides being so frustrated for the last 2 years at not making any money online.

      I wrote this thread today at work I think 2 hours before punching out.
      Am I glad I have a job, hell yeahhh! If it wasn't for that I wouldn't have anything. So many people out of a job and I have one so I thank God for that.

      First I want to thank some people who gave me some great advice:

The concepts sounds amazing but I just don't know how to set up everything and drive traffic to it despite so much information overload on traffic techniques and always failing. I think that;s why I always outsource but I get no results, just alot of money and time wasted. Thank you anyways :O)

I have to learning hot to get them on the first page. I just don't have the budget for that. So I am stuck with all of this sites just wondering in google land waiting to be found and click on, :O(.

      7. NateRivers- You are right, I have to learn how to build a wp site about something that I love and can write an article about myself and perfect it until it is complete. The problem is that I always see samples and when I try to build my own I get stuck and I see that alot of things don't relate. I get stuck on all of the technical things and I have no one to help me. I ask alot of questions but I just need someone to guide me through until I get the hang of it. Repetition is how I learn so I just need coaching from someone who will be patient and not get mad at me for asking too many questions.

      I want to thank everyone for all of your help, support and motivation. For those who pm me, I haven't read my inbox yet but thank you for taking the time to write to me and show that even though you don't know me, it shows that there are a few people in here that actually care about helping someone who is struggling big time succeed.

      I will write back to all of you soon.

      I hope that one day in the near future I can come back in here and say, I am not making 100 dollars per day and I am ready to teach anyone who is struggling to make money online how I did for free just like someone in here extended their heart and soul in helping me in a time of need.

    I just had to chime in here and agree with NATE! But I'm going to get all Law of Attraction-like with you for a sec.

    Wanting to "make money" is an Effect. So ask yourself what the Cause would be. If people are only doing 1 of 2 things....moving towards pleasure, or away from pain, ask yourself what YOU CAN DO to help them achieve this. If you focus on that...the magic will follow.

    Also, what is your WHY? Is it strong enough to continue to bring you through these tough times and beyond? Once you know what your WHY is....strengthen it....and write it down.

    Don’t give up, I'm sure it's the most generic and overused statement on this forum but simply put it is the truth. The idea behind this game at least from what I have made out seems to be that every time you get knocked down you get back up and build something that little bit better, if you can honestly go to bed at the end of every day and think to yourself that you have learnt something new then that day wasn't wasted.

    In no way am I saying I'm success story, in fact on one in the making I have been at this game now for three months and I have only just started to experience what it is like to make a profit, before I made this profit I was purchasing every guide and e-book that I could get my hands on a promised me the secret to success. The best parts out of all of this is my profits have come from what I learned myself as opposed to anything these e-book's tried to teach me.

    I am a great advocate for following your own path and not living what somebody else tried. Making money online doesn't need to be overcomplicated, maybe it's time you took a step back and regrouped the basics in the beginning - don't do what I did for the first couple of weeks and overcomplicate things it really does waste a lot of time !

    Don't worry. Most people struggle at first.
    It gets easier. Take a deep breath, and
    get stuck into it.

    Some advice you may find useful:

    Divide your time into ACTION time, and
    RESEARCH time.

    Spend time reading each day. Here, products
    you've bought, whatever.

    Make notes. Careful notes.

    Take whatever you're learning and think
    about how it applies to your fledgling business
    NOW. If it doesn't apply now, toss it. You can
    always re-read it later.

    The goal is to get money now, not later, so we
    need to focus on what we can implement now.

    That's research time.

    Next comes action time. Make sure the action
    time outweighs the research time by a lot.

    Break your tasks into lists. Five things on a list,
    max, then get through them. Work at it like your
    life depends on it. Live and breathe this stuff.

    Before you go to bed each night, ask yourself
    "Did I do enough? Did I take as much action as
    possible today?"

    The more often you can answer "Yes" to that
    question, the sooner you'll see rewards for your
    efforts.

    No problem man, and I agree. I outsourced some work once. It was a huge mistake too. But I learned from that mistake, and you should learn from yours too.

    It was at that moment that I decided it was better to take the time to learn how to do everything myself, instead of trying to describe my ideas to a 2nd (or is it 3rd?) party and then hoping for the best.

    Sure, I still outsource graphics.. BUT lets be fair - I know my strengths AND my weaknesses, lol I know that you can't win em all.

    But yeah, just think of it this way - once you hit the bottom, the only way to go is up

    Oh - and dont worry about JVZoo or any of the affiliate sites being complicated. Its really not. JVZoo even has video tutorials that walk you through signing up & stuff. You'll see once you sign up. They even host your product for you, as long as its 128MB or less and deliver it securely to your buyers (without problems I might add - I havent needed to resend a single one)

    Then once you're signed up & familiar with things, you can launch your own product for free and create your own affiliate program to let other people promote your stuff for you (which when done correctly can drastically change your life, trust me on this.)

    You can set up JV's, you can do dime-sales.. all kinds of stuff. Its really awesome & even easier. They got me sold. lol

    Or you can sign up as an affiliate to promote other people's stuff, and get instant commissions. Its up to you.. good luck man!

    you need a plan that you will follow it everyday..i can see that you can write well..start writing articles for your sites...is a good way to kick start!

    After that try forum marketing and also blog commenting..im sure you can bring the traffic to your sites...

    Don't you dare downplay yourself like that. Almost every internet on earth started out and thought the same way you did. It is not worth it to think like that at all.       Thank you for all of your advice. I think I am suffering from information overload. I see so many advices in here that I don't know which one to follow, again information overload, I am even to starting to see some white hair from this internet marketing stress, lol

      I think I am going to just relax and take a course on how to use wordpress. Then once I master how to use it well, I'm going to start writing about something I love. Maybe movies, cause i love watching movies. I am going to try and write my own article, maybe just a one page article and see if I can put a banner for a cpa offer about movies tickets.

    You have the pain and you have the failure. Now it's time to become a success.

    A line my grandma use to say "Failing is ok because when it happens you're just by passing failure on your way to success."

    She was right, we all fail before we succeed. You need to get up and dust yourself off. If I was personally in the situation you are in again -mine was similiar- I would concentrate on free list-building. Or scrape the money together for coaching.

    Coaching is the best way to go.

        Here's a plan for you. Try it out:

        1. Market research. Pinpoint industries with niches and micro niches where large groups of Internet users have immediate needs and "hair on fire" problems about topics and sub topics related to those industries, niches and microniches. For instance, ICT (Information & Communications Technology) is a profitable industry, then outsourcing is a profitable niche, and outsourced content development services is a profitable micro niche. Corporations, companies, small to mid-scale businesses and individual Internet marketers have immediate needs and "hair on fire" problems about content development for their sites, products and mailing lists. These are immediate needs and "hair on fire" problems because they need high quality outsourced content development services to provide their customers and viewers with more regularly updated content, to save up on their overheads, and to widen their market reach by syndicating content on their content syndication networks.         2. Keyword research. Use to Google Adwords Keyword Tool.         4. If you prefer selling affiliate products over developing your own products: Pinpoint a set of affiliate products which will be most useful in serving as quick and effective solutions for the immediate needs and "hair on fire" problems of your target viewers...

        5. Develop a Wordpress site under your domain. Develop onsite content relevant and useful in serving as quick and effective solutions for the immediate needs and "hair on fire" problems of your target viewers. Provide more detailed info about the affiliate products you're promoting, which means it would be way way better for you to use those products before you promote them on your site. If you prefer earning income from CPC and CPA ads, then design your sites in a way so that your target viewers, should be ad clickers, to not miss those CPC and CPA ads...

        6. Use your free Adwords and Facebook PPC credits to test out your clicks and conversion percentages for each of your target keywords/keyphrases, your onsite content pages and the products/affiliate products/CPC or CPA ads you're promoting on your site. Improve your PPC ads, onsite content pages, products/affiliate products or CPC/CPA ad placement, based on your test results...

        7. While doing number 6 above, develop content that you can post on your site then offer it to owners of heavily trafficked blogs and authority sites with content relevant to your products/affiliate products/CPC and CPA ads, target industries, niches, micro niches and keywords, in exchange for backlinks pointing to your site. Some blog/site owners accept previously published content, as long as the person offering it as a guest blog/site post owns full exclusive rights to the content and also as long as the content is helpful for their viewers. A few only accept unique content, so weigh the benefits you could gain from developing and posting unique content on those sites/blogs to drive traffic to your site. You can also ask those site/blog owners if they're interested in getting useful, relevant content offering benefits relevant to their followers that aren't found elsewhere, in exchange for solo ads to their mailing list subscribers...

        8. Once you optimize your onsite and offsite content, products/affiliate product selection/CPA and CPC ad placement, based on improvements you make according to your test results: Go get another domain and/or hosting from a company offering free Adwords credits when you purchase their domain registration and hosting services, and continue to search for Facebook PPC coupon codes. This way, you spend $20/month to get $75 Adwords credits and around an hour per day to search for Facebook PPC coupon codes as well as to develop Adwords and FB PPC ads, implement and monitor your PPC ad campaign results...

        9. Once you start earning substantial income from your campaigns: See if you can allocate funds to outsource these things and grow an expand your business further. This way, you gain free time and more income, especially if you take time to train your employees in the exact details they need to know and do to achieve the same results you are targeting...

          I do not recommend you just blog about what you like and "see how it goes" unless you want to do a lot of work and not make any money.

          Regardless of what method you use, do at least the first steps mentioned above and find a profitable niche or at least check and make sure you can make money off of your niche.

      I have also attended coaching by chris farrell and I must say he is really good at teaching people who does not know what to do at all.

      After understood all the things that he taught,I start to read forums and choose which one is suitable for me and I came to 2 sites. One of it is blogging on how to create an online business step by step(sharing some of the things that chris taught me and things that i have discovered) and amazon review site.

      Even though there were not much results,my list is growing over the days,it is not really a lot yet since I put in around 2-3 hours a day due to studying and working part time jobs.

      What I am implying is not to focus on too many business model because you will not be able to cope with it.Focusing on 2 business model is quite tough for me since both were totally two different niche. I am around the same level with you but what I can say is that no one can help you if you don't focus and put in enough effort and hardwork in it.

      I have tried to ask people also but after a while, I realised that basically they are telling the same things such as focus on one business model,take action,etc. All of these are somehow similar and if you really understand what you are doing, just keep on doing it till you reach it)

If you like making videos then make more videos.. your passion will come through to others... especially if you are seen in your videos.. I know that was a big thing for me... Keep it up and don't expect to make $10,000 right away.

    You should just put together a list of the top 5 ways to get traffic, then implement them on a weekly basis. Your traffic can easily grow. If not that, then you should consider selling on ebay. You'll get instant sales if you have alot of things at home that you don't need/want anymore.

    . Write down 2 major things you can do as a service online. Sell the service at $199.

    You could write 10 articles for $199

    You could create 1 video for $199

    You could write 1 50 page ebook for $199

    You could start a support business for existing internet business for $199 per month.

    i was like you for some time. it's true people make money online. but how you do it and with which method is a whole different things. this is how i started making money online. i chose a skill...photoshop and web design and i studied these on my own for lets say about a year to get really good at it. but for me i didn't have an intention of making money out of these skills...but today that's what feeds me. maybe your case is different because you NEED money now..but whatever the case. the lesson is choose a skill...learn it and be an expert at it and even it's one website you'll have for it...stop spending all the tiny numerous money you spend all over the place and throw this money into this ONE site you're concentrating on. if the money doesn't come to you...quit online marketing...the money will just come and you'll have a feel of how it is to earn online. i wish you all the best man...you can make it.

      2 big tips:

      # 1: Focus on developing one genuine valuable skill.

      It could be copywriting, pay per click, SEO, article writing, any ONE skill.

      Get REALLY good at one thing. That will change your outlook on this whole process.


      # 2: Ask yourself "who am I helping?"

      If all you ever focus on is making money for yourself then you're not going to get far.

      Take your eyes off yourself and look for ways to genuinely help others.

      The internet marketers who start making good money have usually become leaders in a niche...sometimes a really tight niche you would never expect.

      And they are genuinely servicing that niche...finding ways the help the people in that niche with valuable products, services and advice.

      Your income is often directly related to how much value you've delivered to others...how much you've helped them in dollar terms or sometimes how much you've helped them in less tangible ways.

      But having an attitude where you'll go out of your way to genuinely serve others is the real key.

    First of all you are not dumb, secondly most people won't have put the kind of affords you have put in. That being said, you should stop spending lots of cash. This is what I would suggest. Focus on one site, pick a niche about which you are passionate to write about. Make a blog (You can use free themes, you have to look really fancy). Start posting blog articles(Try to make sure you post atleast 3-5 posts a week in the beginning). Once you start writing on that, then work on SEO for that particular niche. Use keyword analytics tool to study the keywords you want to focus on.

    Once you start getting traffic, look for products that would resemble your niche on Clickbank or amazon, alternately you can also use adsense or a mixture of everything.

    Once you start getting better traffic, sell blog space for advertisement. You can find advertisers on Online Advertising Marketplace | BuySellAds.com Offer a slot for cheap as that would excite buyers.

    Finally once you start making good cash, flip your site on flippa and make the your cost. (Prices at flippa are normally calculated as Income for a month x 12). So if you are making $1000 per month from your blog then you can sell your blog for approximately around 9-12k or maybe more.

    This is the strategy I often use and it always fetches me good cash every month.

    Finally, keep working hard and don't give up and you will succeed.
