Question about traffic building

Hi,

Ive put up some lenses. Ive created some blogs and back linked to the lenses. Ive put intel on qassia. Promoted the links for the blogs and the lens to twitter, ping-o-matic, dggp, stumble, delicios etc.

Do I promote the links daily now

or do I sit and wait to see what one run does first

cheers

Robert

If you want free traffic, then you're going in the right direction. You want to have a network of hubs, lenses, articles, and a blog or two all pointing back to your main page which you want traffic to go to.

If your keyword phrase is highly competitive (e.g. weight loss), then you're not going to get much traffic at all from Google. If you narrowed down the keywords (e.g.weight loss for women over 50), then all this backlinking and bookmarking will bump your site up and up

Don't forget to use social marker or onlywire for your social bookmarking efforts.

Your lens should be pretty much fully link-juiced the first day you put it up. I mean, you should try to get links coming in from video posting sites, article sites, and social bookmarks immediately.

Some people make a lens and figure they will get some link juice flowing later. But if Googlebot comes by, sees your lens, but doesn't see some power links coming in to it, you'll be buried back on page 45 in no-man's land.

Just a note. I have lenses that got to #1 on Google within hours. I have two that I put up and have maintained front page listings for close to 3 months without adding any content or doing any more link building than I did on day one. I love Squidoo!
