How To Improve Your Odds Of Making Money As An Affiliate Marketer

This is a topic that I seldom see discussed here in the forum, so I figured I would share my two cents and see what other folks think as well.

One of the biggest hurdles for many Affiliate Marketers is getting approved for the right offers.

Within networks like ClickBank, all one needs to do is to get approved by ClickBank and put your ClickBank ID in the Affiliate URL.

In other networks, like Warrior Plus, JV Zoo, Digi Results, Rap Bank, and others... the Affiliate Vendor must approve your application to be an affiliate.

So many hopeful Affiliate Marketers die at the starting gate, and few ever understand why or how to fix it.

With any Affiliate Network that pays "rotating affiliate commissions" through PayPal, it is very important for Affiliate Vendors to be very selective about WHO they approve to be affiliates.

As Affiliate Vendors, we need to be careful to only select affiliates who:
  • Gives Refunds to users who ask for them;
  • Has a Public Persona online (helps vendors understand who they are dealing with);
  • Uses Promotional Methods with Integrity;
  • Uses Effective Promotional Techniques in order not to diminish Product Conversion Rates, which are used by other affiliates to decide what offers to promote.

As a result of these factors, Affiliate Vendors want to know:
  • Something about the Affiliate as far as their reputation and personal integrity.
  • How an Affiliate Offer will be promoted.

And who can really blame Affiliate Vendors?

Internet Marketing is a business, and Affiliate Vendors only want to work with people whom they can trust -- it is a business decision to run their businesses like businesses, instead of desperate strategies to make fast money.

If you don't have a signature file in the Warrior Forum and you don't tell Affiliate Vendors how you are going to promote an offer, most Affiliate Vendors will reject your application, if they are using any of the above-mentioned Affiliate Networks to promote their Affiliate Offers in the WSO sub-forum.

The point is that if you want to be approved as an affiliate to sell products advertised in the WSO sub-forum, it will always be in your best interest to:
  • Participate in the Warrior Forum so vendors have one more tool to get to know who you are and what you are about;
  • Have a Signature File, so that Affiliate Vendors can get a better sense of who you are and what you do online; and
  • Tell Affiliate Vendors how you expect to promote their offers.
