My Crazy 4-Figure Internet Marketing Start at 14 yrs old

I’m an entrepreneur by nature. It’s just who I am. So at fourteen years old I decided I wanted an Apple iPod. My parents couldn’t afford it and I was too young to get a job. My friend came to school one day and with an ipod and said he won it free online.

So I searched the webs for several months looking for a way to get an ipod for free without it being a scam. I finally found a site and got to work, and after a few weeks my ipod came in the mail. Well, then my sister wanted one, then my brother, then my friends. Eventually I realized that I could be selling these ipods that I was getting for free and make a killing.

So I started selling to my friends. I then realized that I was selling the for less than half of what they were worth. I moved on to ebay. I still sold them discounted but I was making a ton of money. But eventually I could not keep up with the demand. I tried to get my friend to help me out, but I couldn’t count on them.

That’s when I found out the website had a referral system. So I started spreading my link and started researching how to get the most referrals. I ended up creating a free blog with blogger. But I wasn’t getting any traffic. So I looked up the best ways to get traffic to a website. That’s how I learned SEO. I got my blog ranked up near the top of google for sever ipod related keywords and I started getting a ton of referrals.

I soon realized that my blog was getting a ton of traffic, and I should capitalize on it. So I put ads on my blog, and that is a quick summary of how I got started on internet marketing. Overall I estimated that I made about $8,000 in a little over two years. Not bad for a fourteen year old who pretty much knew nothing about the internet.
