BuySellAds is a platform for ad buyers and sellers. You can't get traffic directly from this platform. What you can do is browse those websites that offers banner ads and buy banner space. Then the traffic will come from the website that you bought banner ads. BuySellAds is just a middleman for both ad buyers and sellers.

Ask for daily, weekly or monthly traffic stats. Analyze those stats like page views, bounce rate. It will help to get more converting traffic. You may also want to consider the price of banner spaces. Compare those available publishers related to your niche.

Good advice from this guy and you can see he knows this site well. I'd take this advice and find the perfect match for your niche/offer. Remember targeted traffic is what you want not 1 million hits from a random 'Mosquito Appreciation Site' in Singapore.

Note: Nothing against Singapore or Mosquito lovers -I just mean targeted traffic is best! Of course this traffic would be good for a Mosquito repellent based in Singapore....I'll stop typing now.

If you find a website you want to advertise on, is there sort of a normal 'going rate' for how much to pay per 1000 impressions, and if so, is it pretty general or does it vary by niche?

I have used to sell ads and tweets and its some of the easiest money i have made online , its not very consistent but its easy money

from a advertising stand point i think some of the prices for banner ads and tweets are over priced.
The price of advertising using banner ads need to come down, its a very old form of advertising that is over priced, it was good in 2000-2005 but this is 2012 peeps , stuff is changing before our eyes

BuySellAds is a platform for advertising.

Your success depends on how good a job you do finding a niche site, having a pretty creatives that people want to click and how compelling the offer is that you're promoting as an affiliate.

I like BSA because I can just upload multiple creatives and I immediately have A/B split testing setup!

What can be easier than that?

I use BSA to drive people to my opt-in page where I get them onto my list.

Now - if I could only figure out how to convert those guys on my list into some moolah ;-)

I would generally recommend advertising on small blogs in your niche as generally those blogs have cheap advertising space ($10 for like 30k views) as they are just desperate to get one advertiser. Plus instead of their being like advertisers yours will be the only one... other than that, yes I recommend them..

I have had my banner on logopond.com with BuySellAds. It has gotten me a few sales. I wont do it again though, I get more traffic and sales from search engines. I think its a good place to start though. Give it a shot

I have purchased ad blocks using buysellads.com for web hosting. My ads were for a set price per month though. I got a few sign ups from running multiple ads. I did get some fraud orders as well that were kicked back from fraud protection.

I am currently testing it I paid one blog post for one of my affiliate link hope that it will bring at least 2-3 sales a day as it's 10k in alexa which is really good for the website i advertise on.

Will keep you in touch to see if I like it.

But it all depend on the website where you advertise in not really on buysellads.

BSAs doesn't have a lot of inventory for a lot of niches, but they do have a lot of sites which CPA offers might work, depending on the offer. You just have to go through their inventory and see if any of the sites fit your offer.

I'm getting some excellent traffic in one of my niches but some others aren't doing so well. It's a testing game like everything else.

Sometimes I use them to reduce the CTR. when it become too high. but for business I don't think they are of any good.

I've done some testing on BSA, but not nearly enough. One thing for sure- it takes time to find that right market to message match and get a decent CTR.
Once you do, the amount of traffic you can get is pretty limited though.
Move on the next property and figure out the right message there. Rinse and repeat.
