Can Statcounter Code Lower Sites Ranks!?
So I have had a website sitting on the top page of google for its keyword term for a long time. I have not updated this site or anything and I figured I would add the statcounter code to the bottom of my footer page. I put the invisible code into the footer page within the wordpress editor.
Anyways so at first it didnt seem to do anything to my seo. But 4 days later after installing the code my site all of a sudden goes from the #1 spot on the first page of Google to the last spot on the 2nd page of Google.
Could statcounter code be responsible for this?
