What Is The Real Power of Lists?

It's true that everyone is talking about building an email list, but I'm still in the development stage.
Has anyone got suggestions on how to build them?

When you hear all the top marketers say "the money is in the list" they are serious.

All top marketers create lists.

How to start, find a free course that takes you step by step through all the steps. ;-)

Most of the instructions given in ebooks are more like outlines than actual courses that take through ever step.

Actually, I had no previous technical skill at all and still don't consider that I am very techy at all.

However, even I learned how to put up a squeeze page and other web pages all by myself which took me about half a day the first time and now I can put up a money making squeeze page in 30 minutes or less.

However, once you learn how to do the techy stuff the main thing is to get really targeted traffic, sign ups and finally sales.

As for monetizing the list, I always make sure that I've given a lot of value in the emails without selling a lot. I think this is why when I do finally promote something, my conversions are pretty high.

However, as the PS in every email, even the first one is how someone who wants to get going or something faster a link for them to click.

I also only promote things that I have experience with and that I feel are of real value to my list.

However, I have also found the part that determines how to make money quicker and easier is in the keyword research ahead of time.

If you can find a market to sell what people are already buying, that has some competition but not too much, get those keywords, then find recurring affiliate programs for those clients, create a squeeze page for that and an autoresponder, you are more likely to make some money not only quicker but more consistently.

I still say that regardless of what else you do, build a list.

For your second question:

About a month of automated emails everyday or every other day just after your subscriber signed up and make sure they dont feel you are always trying to sell something by giving them good content.

After a month, same kind of emails but once a week.

What I mean by good content is if you have a niche and a few digital information products, dont hesitate to give part of your useful information within your email so that they feel you know your stuff and they need your knowledge of your particular niche.

Make sure to do your email shorter than 300 words max in one small column so it feels even shorter to read.

Give something of value for free to entice people to sign up. Make sure you mention something in your squeeze page about their problems, and your solutions and why or how you are different.

Have nothing else on the squeeze page but a way to sign up.

The main thing is to get started--take action.

You learn more from doing it. You can tweak it as you learn more and as you see how well your stats are.

You'll learn the most by just trying out different things because different stuff works for different people. As for the 2nd question just promote quality niche relevant targeted material. Don't bombard your list with crap, nobody wants that. Just, use your judgement and test out different things.

a source of instant traffic.

You can email your list, and drive their
clicks to anything you want, and you
can do it on demand.

That's the power of a list - traffic, and
therefore buyers/income, on demand.

Kat is right on. They arent joking when they say the money is in the list.

However even more than that, the money is in the RELATIONSHIP you have with your list.

Anybody can scrape emails and "CALL" it a list, but that doesnt mean it will convert (or that its legal, lol)

BUT when a list is built AND managed properly, you can click a button, send a broadcast and generate a HUGE amount of $ within minutes.

You can consistently send your email list free and informative articles and e-books so that people will develop a positive attitude to your business.

When you have established a strong relationship, it would be easy for people to follow your links and buy your products or the products you recommend.

I suggest you don’t bombard your clients with links that will give them the impression that you are just emailing them to increase your profits. If you do this, there is a high tendency that your clients will get turned off from the business strategy you are using and stop reading your emails.
