help with logging into an account please

I'd appreciate any help anyone can give me.
I help firepow students in creating their first blogs etc and to do this in the past I've always been able to log into their accounts with their usernames and passwords however now i keep getting login errors.
this has occurred at my work pc using IE, at a home pc using flock and a home pc using firefox.
as far as I can tell in options cookies from third parties are allowed etc.....I didn't have this problem before but now I do.
I'd appreciate any suggestions anyone can give me as I did not have this problem in the past and this is very urgent.
