What is the best way to get Facebook Fans.

Just an open question, how effective are the "get 1000 fans for $5" is there any engagement?

What about giving stuff unrelated to your business for free (free Ipads to your fans) did that gave you a good quality fans?

    You have 3 options-

    1. Buy a stupid fiverr with unlimited stupid, unrelated and worthless fb fans.
    2. Promote your page through your website or blog (through side widgets and popups).
    3. Promote your page through your existing fb fans.

In any case, facebook won't get you direct profit. It's for engaging people in discussions and interests which leads to popularity and publicity which ultimately leads you to long term profit.

giving stuff unrelated to your business for free
    always works with everything.

But mostly purchased fans are dummy created. So trying to get the active facebook fans is the main thing. Firstly send invitation to your known persons and then ask them share your page with there fans and so on......

Earning Facebook fans is not unlike networking in real life. You have to make an impression on people. You have to engage them in conversation, introduce yourself and help out if you want your fans and followers to remember you. When you buy Facebook fans in bulk, you're not making an impression on people. You're simply building your fan list. It's disingenuous and you won't have as many long-lasting results than if you earned your Facebook Fans the right way - by building your business, making a good impression and earning a Facebook fan and potential customer for life.

Get in on the conversations and give your audience what they're looking for. Soon, the Facebook fans will come to you and you won't have to spend a dime.

EDIT: As far as giving stuff away, yes, that always works. But make sure you don't have BS offers. You're really giving away an iPad? Does someone actually win it? Most people understand a 'too good to be true' deal these days. People are savvy. Don't insult their intelligence. But if you are giving iPads away to all your fans, give me your FB address. I sure could use an iPad. I'll be your fan. haha Good luck.

If you have some money to spend, FB Ads is the way to go. It can get you laser targeted fans for relatively cheap cost.

Dont buy from fiverr. They are worthless. Just promote your page with your friends and let it go viral.

I totally advice NOT getting the 1000 fans for $5. It will come back to haunt you because when you do get an authentic follower on your fanpage and they see you have 800 fans and no one is talking.. it just looks bad.

The best way is to incorporate your FB page in everything. Your email list, your website, your other social media networks. And cross promote them everywhere. Tell everyone "Hey! Let's start a conversation here!" do something controversial if you have to.

Make sure your welcome page is inviting too. The latest thing is to give an offer for liking the page. Whether it's a video, ebook, or something of that nature.

Hi there, I did use fiverr for one of my FB pages. I did not get 1000 for a fiver but I did get 400 - the only thing is that although they are actually real people, they therefore also have real interests, so I found that after a while people started to unlike my page. I presume that was due to my service not actually interesting them, so in reality it is not really worth it (even for a fiver) as they are not really interested in what you have to offer.
You should niche your page and ensure you promote it to those who have similar interest - hence a fb ads would be a good way at a very reasonable cost. Naturally inviting your friends too asking them to help you by sharing it to their friends and so on....

      Good luck with it all!
      Cheers
      Vips

If you want real fans you need to get them there yourself. Obviously there is no way "1k fans for $5" is going to be real.

Drive traffic to your facebook page and get them to "like" your page.

Facebook has a killer ad targeting platform now. Be smart about it and it can be an excellent way to build your business.

Yes fiverr gigs do work, but what is the point in getting a thousand people who in essence dont care about what you are offering.
The best way I think is to get something online that has the potential to go viral and hit the market that you wish to tap into.

People should have the mindset of "What's behind the numbers". What's the point of having thousands of fans but aren't doing anything. I'd rather have a few of them who are engaging and sharing info.

A better way to get fans is to do giveaways related to your business which will better target people interested in what you do. You can host them on your blog (using rafflecopter - which is free) or use a service on facebook like woobox or wildfire that requires entrants to like your page.

rafflecopter is free and allows you to have people do things for extra entries - comment on your blog, fan your facebook page, follow you on twitter, tweet a message, etc.

Woobox is something like $30/month and you can set it so that people will get extra entries every time a friend enters as well.

Don't forget to market your sweepstakes/giveaway on different sites. There are many websites that list contests and sweepstakes around the internet - I've noticed differences in the hundreds when it comes to entries when I've marketed a giveaway and when I haven't.

pairing facebook ads with a contest or giveaway will help in gaining fans - choose to pay for impressions rather than clicks.

Also - probably the most important thing - put links to your twitter and facebook pages ON YOUR WEB PAGE. Putting "share" buttons on your pages and blog posts will help as well. As the extra traffic can filter into fans if someone clicks on your web page from a link in what someone shared on twitter and finds your fan page from there.

    Case study:

I set up the facebook page for a company that gets 20,000 web visits a month. I told them they NEED to have a link on their website (preferably on the front page, but on the bottom or on every page on a sidebar works too) - it's been nearly a year since I set up facebook for them and still no link to their facebook page. They have 32 fans - the number of fans they got from inviting their friends. No one thinks to search for them on facebook because they don't market their facebook page, despite the fact that they put updates on it every day.

Meanwhile, I have facebook and twitter buttons on one of my company's pages that gets about 3,000 unique visits a month and we have thousands of fans.

In my experience "making something that could go viral" is much easier said than done. going viral is mostly luck in posting something awesome that people feel compelled to share because it's awesome.

Find groups related to your niche.....Post regularly so that members in the group get to see you as a go-to person. Also start to create relationships with the administrators & "influencers" in the group.....Then as they get to know you & what you do....Start reaching out within the group & possibly start marketing through not-so-salesy posts in the group....BUT, make it relevant to the conversations and posts so that its not an over the top hard sell where you look like you're desperate for attention

Best way is to join related groups, and post high quality posts and include link to your fan page, so make good landing page on your welcome tab and you will grow fast.. I do same thing and now have 30.000+ fans for about 5 months..
