Do "Silent Sales Machines" Still Work Well?

I know a few years ago many of the big "guru's" like John Reese, etc. were pushing the concept of making "sales machines" to make a lot of money.

Basically, it was simple...

1. Create a single "squeeze" page, give something away (report, email series, etc.).

2. Create a large number of autoresponder follow up messages that go out over the course of an entire year to that subscriber.

3. Mix autoresponder messages with good info and also affiliate links.

I was just wondering if many of you do this method exclusively and if it still works well with the number of junk emails people receive, filters, etc. to make a great income.

I've always been more of an ebook creator, but I've thought about giving this a shot.

Thanks!

Well Dayne, it really depends on the niche that you are in, for example I have a few "Silent Sales Machines" in the health and dog training niche and they work very well. To tell the truth one of this is pulling over 5k per month.

You have to remember that outside IM people don't receive a lot of junk mail... well they do but not as much as IM. The open rates are really good especially if you provide good content.

    Here's how I do it:

1: I build a site that has really good content in a niche that people are looking to solve a problem.

2: Rank this site on the front page of the big G

3: Capture the traffic with pop ups, sidebar Opt-in Form, and squeeze pages by offering them a free report, video or a 7 day mini course.

4: Once they subscribe I send them follow up messages with good content and also recommend them good products.

This system works really well and I recommend that you give it a try.

Wow, Olson, $5k a month is excellent and proof that it does indeed work.

How many follow up emails do you have loaded?

    Yeah man it does work….

It really depends on the niche I send a minimum of 7 emails and on some sites up to one year.

I can show you an example if you want ...add me on Skype.

Very cool, sounds like you know your stuff. I don't have Skype, but you can message me here on the forum. Will that work? Would love to see a sample.

Yep as Olsen says it works and will probably always work. It's evergreen, you are getting interested people to optin to learn more and then over time keeping in touch with them with useful information and also sell them things.

What is fun is when you get orders from people who first opted in years ago. It happened last night on one of my sites, a $500 order from someone who opted in 2 years ago. They feel like they know me because of my emails. They probably don't realize 90% of the emails were part of my autoresponder series. But even if they do it still helps establish the relationship.

But as said it depends on the niche.
