I am new to promoting clickbank products. What I need to know is what I should look for when searching for a product to promote.

How do you know which ones convert the best?

I found this thread which has been quite helpful.

What method do you use when deciding what product to promote?

I look for ten (!) things.

You can read them all, here: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post2161932

They're just about "in order of importance" to me, I think, in that post. I'm not suggesting they're necessarily everyone's "things to look for" but I think the majority of serious affiliates who are businesslike will be looking for roughly those things in more or less that order.

    Only by testing for yourself.

    This information isn't available.

Conversion-rates can't be published, if you think about it. If they were, competitors could just buy "10,000 visits" (junk traffic) for $5 on Fiverr to send them to someone's sales page and destroy the conversion-rate. But in any case, other people's conversion-rates wouldn't be relevant to you.

Stay away from any website which claims to be able to "estimate conversion-rates" from Marketplace statistics using a "secret proprietary algorithm": it's all nonsense. The only people who know are ClickBank and the vendor.

99.999% of people should follow Alexa's advice on this, which is superb as usual.

That being said, one of my hobbies is to find the worst worst looking salespages out there. There are thousands of products that have never made even a single sale. Then, I buy the product to see if it is good. Usually it is pretty decent, because the person was good at what they do, just terrible at marketing. So, then I'll adopt that product and become their Rainmaker.
