How much do you think a domain like
ivycarter.net could go for?
Thats the name of Beyonce and Jay-Z's new baby.
And where could you go to sell it for the best price, besides Flippa.

I personally wouldn't sell it. I would create a product, about the illuminati or whatever it is these crazed followers believe about them. Then I would make it a blog based around that product, and maybe a few posts here and there about why illuminati is real or some bs like that.

With a URL like that and the power of social media, that website could easily go viral if you post good information.

I'd sell it and let the buyer deal with the likely lawsuit that would follow trying to do anything with it.

I could be wrong, but I don't think there is any problem with registering a domain of someone else's name?

You're probably right. But high profile people with money to throw around often do just that with the argument they don't want to take a chance of having the kid's name smeared, etc. Could be an opportunity to make some money simply selling the domain to the parents.

Maybe take the domain name set it up with the latest baby news on the specific celeb baby, then go to their publicist/pr person and educate them on how it would be wise to buy this so that their kids name is not ruined... Take a premium price for the site, offer to maintain it host it and even work on it for them for a premium monthly fee.

This way you look like you are saving them a boat load of hassle from others that are more shady in their dealings. Imagine what they'd say if you mentioned something about a journalist or one of the many paparazzi getting ahold of it...

Wait a minute. Isn't that actually Coercion?

Intimidating someone to buy something on the basis that a "name could possibly be smeared" if it was placed "in the wrong hands."

One of the best is in the second post. I totally agree with him but also don't forget about name in domain name. No one knows what this domain can bring you...
