making money with blogger.com

Hey, Ive recently joined the world of internet marketing and I am currently involved with an MLM. I am marketing a natural dietary supplement and using my blog site to promote the product as well as natural health. I have google adsence right now, but am having trouble getting traffic to the site. I average about 7 or 8 hits a day. I think it may be that I am not indexed with google and/or I dont have good enough keywords. My question is, am I wasting my time with blogger.com? Is there a better blog site or method to getting my site or sites ranked higher in the searches. I am currently reading the book, "internet marketing, an hour a day" by Matt Bailey. I have also been reading articles on this forum too.

    I love Blogger!! for one the have 100% up time and you can send 1M visitors right now to your blog.. and it will not crash. Did I mention its FREE!! Major Plus!

    I have Blogger sites that get lots of traffic.. it fine. Don't over think it.

    The more post you do.. the more traffic you will get. If you're targeting a keyword that you want to rank for.. build backlinks and optimizes your meta description to have a high CTR.

      Ok.. I just looked at your site.

      I would work on cleaning up the layout and overall look and feel to the blog. It's not very easy on the eyes. Google now has a Page Layout Algorithm signal that looks at your page layout. I would recommend not having a left sidebar. Find a theme that is 2 column. One with a sidebar on the right side.

      You want your content to be in the most valuable real estate (the left side). Again, read up on the new Page Layout Algorithm.

      You've only been blogging for 1 month. The traffic your receiving is fine for a brand new blog.

      I would also stick to having a white background behind the text. Then insert adsense ads after the first paragraph within the content. Make sure the ad has a white background with no boarder.

    Hey! You can make money just by blogging. Simply add an advertisement in your add or you can link exchange with other blogger so that your traffic will increase.

    Blogger has limited functionality compared to wordpress... I don't think you can find SEO plugins for blogger... Wordpress is SEO friendly, and a lot easier to use and maintain...

    I am not a fan of MLM. Outside of the buy in and it's structure, the product or products you are promoting may not sell. Before you even build a site, you need to do your research and make sure that people are looking for whatever it is you are promoting. If people aren't actively searching for what you are promoting, you won't make any money because you won't be getting any traffic.

    When it comes to making money online, Wordpress is the standard. There are a lot more features and things you can do with it. You can also use it in multiple business models, so it's something you should learn. Before I started my blog, I had never used it, but once you get everything down, it's really easy and user-friendly. It's just a matter of content. Oh, it's also important you do stuff on your own domain so you have control over the content.

    When it comes to training, I recommend you check out Unstoppable Affiliate by Andrew Hansen and Josh Stanton. It's a high-quality product that over-delivers in terms of the content and support. It uses a realistic approach, and the creators put into practice what they teach. The main course is all you need to make it work, but they also offer an optional 8-week coaching program on the back-end, which someone in your situation would benefit from (being that you're new and all).

      I've heard that wordpress is better also. of course this was after I created my blogger site lol. Maybe I'll just copy a lot of the content from blogger and paste it to word press. Then continue to add content only to wordpress. I tried the seo trick of adding: <b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == &quot;index&quot;'>
      <title><data:blog.title/></title>
      <b:else/>
      <title><data:blog.pageName/></title>
      </b:if>       to the HTML, but it didnt seem to work. I included key words ect.

      My long term plan is to be making about $1,000 a month in the next year or two. I just have to put the pieces together little by little. Between the MLM and the adsence, I think it doable.

    as Kevin said, i love blogger blogs and have couple of them on my .com domains, they have nearly 100% uptime, faster loading, good SEO etc. You can use them to interlink your other sites, so its a good option to use blogger blogs but NOT only free blogger blogs
