Transferring a Site

INTERNET MARKETING

I have a site up for auction at Flippa and my reserve has been met so I'm pretty confident the sale will go through (auction is up in 8 or 9 days).

I've never transferred a site before so I'm looking for some feedback and how to go about doing this. Is it as simple as:

1. Downloading a back up file of my site and emailing it to new owner
2. Pointing domain to new owners DNS server
3. Transferring ownership of domain to new owner

  Well the easiest way to do it is using a backupbuddy plugin, you can have the site back up and running in two minutes. But the traditional way is not difficult either, back up your files, export your database. There is plenty of videos on how to do it on youtube, like this one

I've never sold a website, but I have moved my own. If it's wordpress based, use WP twin by Jason fladlin. It clones the entire site, even the comments and the plug ins. gives you an exact copy and is easy enough for me to use. Lol!:-)
