How do you guys write your content?

Idk if this a clear enough question or not but for you people who write articles on products and sell them how exactly are you coming up with your information? are you making it up? are you looking at other stuff and getting ideas for your content? or is it just straight "passion"?

Check the product description on amazon (if your product is on Amazon) as well as the customer feedbacks. You can always visit the manufacturer's website. YouTube is another great site where you can find info just about anything.

It's best if you have the product, obviously, but it's rarely the case. Don't make up stuff, that will do more harm than good.

I'm trying out a few ways of writing content and this is what I'm using at the moment:

    1) I usually get an idea - a flash of inspiration.

    2) I write it down in a notebook, on a blank page, with the sentence as the heading..

    3) I leave it to sit for X days.

    4) Once it's in my mind and I get flashes of what I want to include, I write them down in the page.

    5) After I've got a few good stuff to write about - I re-read certain parts of books I've read/ search on internet for same sort of topics - and I write down words/sentences I can use as a platform to help steer the ship.

    6) I then read through my words/sentences and mentally build the structure of my article.

    7) I then write out the article (aiming for 1000-1200 words).

    8) I then go through it, picking apart the wording at word/sentence/paragraph level.

    9) By the time I've finished I usually have a decent article with up to 1500 words.

    10) I then edit, edit, then edit again.

    Job done.

amazon.com does seem to be the best source of info. Study their images, describe what you're seeing, check the dimensions and weight, color, etc. What will the buyer find when they open the box? Then go through the product's feedback.

As previous poster also mentioned, check the manufacturer's website especially their "about us" page and any press releases.

Don't make stuff up. You need to know about the products in your niche. This means that you need to have actually used some of the products in your niche (so you can distinguish between quality and crap). Once you have a bit more experience, you learn how to do proper research and where to go to find unbiased reviews. If ever I have questions about a products after doing research, I buy it. It's a learned skill.

When I write my reviews I research the topic from google until im confident I know enough to write an article.

I then close everything down (apart from word obviously) and construct an article - By closing every other tab and window down you are less likely to copy someone else's work.
Unfortunately there is no easy way about doing article writing when it comes to research.

    Hi,

Most, if not all the information you need is on the internet. Just use Google or Youtube and look things up. A lot of people don't want to wade through all the information here and there. Go to 10 different sites to get the stuff they need.

They will be willing to pay for fast information that is professionally packaged and looks credible. Yopu're like doing the leg work for them so to speak. You're saving them time. Time is valueable. It's worth money.

So to answer your question. I use the internet mostly to get the information I need. Ezinearticles.com. Thousands of articles on any subject you can imagine. Same with Youtube and Google. Just type in your keyword and away you go.

Depends what you need the content for. Sometimes I use Fiverr this guy is really good - somethinew (can't post a link because my post count is under 15 still

When I do it on my own, I use Google for information on the product. But I never just copy and paste, always do it in my own words.

Re: How do you guys write your content?
    Succinctly.

Some people are degreed or well experienced in their niche fields and spend more time writing off the top of their head than others because they ARE authority. Of course, they still have to do some research if they are loading with stats. Some people suck at it. Others are absolutely amazing. Yet others do hella research to get familiar with their fields so they can write intelligently on a subject. These people fall into a category that are associated with success. Some people suck at it. Others are absolutely amazing.

Then you have a class that really just isn't "getting it" who just either steal one, or spin one up, scribble one on their own, hire a $2 writer, and so on. Don't worry about what they do. They aren't your competition.

"idk if that's a clear enough" answer..................

    1) Passion

    2) Pure knowledge

    3) Experience

I can churn out 500+ word unique articles without a sweat. But that's ONLY because i operate in a niche that i am very well familiar with.

    Hi,

"Making up" story to write a content? that's absurd. Most readers would know if you are not writing things well and that would be their basis to rate if you are a credible writer or not...IF YOU"RE not. this will spread like a virus.

To write an article, you have to research thoroughly and make sure you "filter" the information you've gathered online and work on it.

You should start with something you are inspired or passionate about. Start writing a draft of what you know about the subject. Expand your draft by researching in google. Then blast!

If you don't really know the product or you're not really comfortable with it, you have to learn about it.

Sometimes it takes a little bit of time to do good research but it's necessary to have valuable and interesting content so people will actually read it.

Once you're ready to elaborate on your topic you just gotta write and then edit and then proofread x3 (at least) It does help if you like to write.

A lot of the time it is good to actually purchase the product that way the content will come easy...It is the best to write something you are passionate about and that you can provide some value to someone.

You could try buying PLR articles and then paraphrase the whole article so as to make the article unique. It helps you to save time and lets you put in more time on promoting your products.

Like other folks said, being already knowledgeable and passionate about the topic is the best way, but I think what you were really asking was how to write about a product without prior knowledge.

Some people already mentioned amazon reviews and youtube. Those are two big ones for me. But actually seeing, touching, and using the product is a big advantage. Obviously I can't buy every product, but if I'm out and about running errands I will try to drop into a shop that I know sells the item and try to get a look at it, or try it out if possible.

Beyond that, another great source is blogs. I like to do a search for blogs within the niche talking about the produce. If it's an area I don't know much about, passionate bloggers are an excellent source of information. You'll find out, not only what the product is like, but what points a consumer is interested in. For instances, if it's a, I don't know, a kitchen mixer (which I don't know much about, BTW), I might cruise a blog and find that people who are knowledgeable about mixers are interested in the type of metal the beaters are made of (just making this up as an example!). Well, then I know that's a point I should hit in my review.

But yeah, amazon and youtube reviews are the standard starting place. Collect a bunch of information, type it up in bullet points perhaps, then make it your own with original writing and phrasing.

I "come with information" from passion, personal experience, research, and interviews.

If you are feeling like you can't find something valuable to write, search forums related to your passions and see what questions people are asking and what problems they are having.
