Recommend a good Forex Guide

Can someone recommend a good forex guide that is useful and teaches from the beginning? I am just looking to get some basic understanding of the market, so don't need an advanced manual at this stage..

You've been a member since 2004, you have over 3,000 posts and you're posting an affiliate link? Seriously?

What's even more sad is the fact that FAPTurbo isn't even a book or guide, it's an expert advisor... may want to research (or use) a product before you try to sell it.

HOLY... sorry, Mr. been here for not even 6 months and not even 60 posts...

You're right I have been here a long-ass time and the
link posted is from my domain, aff. link or not...

I'm sure I'm allowed to post my own domain, so stop
throwing around infractions like you know anything

If I am honestly at fault, I'm sorry, but you are so
new that you shouldn't be infracting people.

        (Especially for nothing)

So this is the lame "elitist" mentality you hear about when it comes to some "older" warriors... it's something I've only read about until now!

Number of posts and how long I've been a member of this forum is irrelevant; I know how to play by the rules.

Evidently I do know something... I read the rules, I recommend you do the same to avoid situations like this in the future. When you go to give an infraction there's an option that says "Spammed Advertisements"... it's there for a reason.

So infractions should only be able to be given by "older" Warriors, regardless of whether or not someone broke the rules? That's ridiculous.

After reading the rules, you may want to read this thread as well, just for future reference!

          Best of luck to you.

To be honest. The worst thing you can do is to read FREE
Forex ebooks they have no value to what you will get from
companies who educate adn DO trade themself.

Babypips is a great resource but you will also meet a lot
of wannabies who think they have the holy grail ideas if
the manage to make profit for 1 day.

A good start would be to learn:

      1. High/Low Cabdlesticks/Bars (If you start use Metatrader etc add "Fractal" until you know it.) I.e Learn Support/Resistance.

      2. Learn 2-4 candlestick/bar patterns (do not try learn them all)

      3. Learn how to define trends (trendlines) on 1h, 4h, daily. (Stay off anything called scalping in Forex)

      4. Learn how to apply Fibonacci tool (Retrace/Extensions)

      5. Learn Money Management And Learn How To Handle Losses. (90% of success)

      6. Listen to people who trade, and not they who sell "Maybe" products.

      7. Get involved with good forums:

Forex TSD| Metatrader Indicators and Experts Advisors
      Forex Factory

      8. Practice and practice and practice... no one can teach you that!

      9. Never buy any EA's below $1000. They are sold to make the creator
rich based on backtest data. (There are a few ok, but nothing is compared
to your knowledge and human brain)

      Thanks,

      Daniel

Most reputable brokers have good education portals with cheap or free education. Make sure you understand 2 things -

    1. How to read a trend.
    2. How macroeconomic factors effect currency movements
    3. Find a good economic calender (eg fxcm.com)

Pick a currency and master it before trying to trade the others (eg the euro versus the US dollar).

A lot of brokers will also give you practice accounts to play with.

While I find this thread very interesting (as I'm starting to study forex again), I'm curious as to why this is on topic? What exactly does it have to do with marketing? Shouldn't this be in the Off Topic forum instead? Just curious since sometimes when we're new here (as I still consider myself) its hard to figure out where to start a post.
good info - I just feel its off topic.....

So, you want to sell me another way to easily make "X" dollars in "X" days? ROFL too funny! IM success requires hard work and lots of time. Most newbies do not survive the steep learning curve. Anyone who says otherwise is probably selling you a fantasy.
