INTERNET MARKETING

I was bored the other night and ended up buying this domain off of ebay and now am wondering what would be a good way to monetize and create a website for it.

What do you think about building a website, with a map of the U.S.A. and visitors would then click on the state they live in and type in their zipcode and up would pop a chevy dealer closest to their zipcode?

I could maybe charge Chevy dealers $x amount per month to have their
dealership promoted on the site?

Make sure you take a look at how the keywords and competition fall, because vehix.com does something similar and spends millions in television ads.

I would try talking focusing on regional long-tail-keywords for people shopping for cars in a particular area (such as where you live). I would contact local dealers about Chevy cars they have that you can list on your site. Tell them it costs them nothing unless you generate an inquiry. They pay for the inquiry regardless if they make the sale. Add dealers once you start getting results with the first one. Spread geographically once you prove your model works.

Hang out and spy in places like Forum Index - The Forums at Chevy Talk etc... and brainstorm a little! A good lesson, tip that many domainers follow before investing in domain names besides focusing on searching for keywords with good search numbers is to Google and study all the related advertising campaigns and money making potentials...
