Can an authority review site in a HUGE niche make $50k/month+ ??

Let's say I had a few hundred thousand dollars lying around and decided to build the best, most comprehensive review site for a niche like "getting abs" or "picking up chicks", etc and monetize with affiliate offers.

Can a site like this do $50k+ monthly? A particularly helpful answer would be from somebody who has some experience/knowledge with this..

Regards,
Vic

  • Yes, of course.

How much money your site makes is simply a function of two numbers.

    Number 1: Average visitor value.

    Number 2: Number of visitors.

Multiply them together and you have your earnings. So let's be conservative and say you can get your site to convert well enough to have an average visitor value of 20 cents.

    You'd need 250,000 visitors a month, or roughly 8333 visitors a day.

Challenging, but do-able. Obviously you want to optimize to get that visitor value as high as possible, so you don't need as much traffic.

$0.20 per visitor is the same as $200 per 1000 visitors ($200 eCPM). Which is not possible with adsense etc. You need to focus on CPA (which is advised anyway).
