ezine solo ads.. worth it?

I typed in solo ads on google search and found solo-ads dot com offering 500 subscribers for only $5.

Are these subscribers worth it?

what is the difference between solo ads and ezine solo ads?

If you could get 500 [real, good] subscribers for only $5, wouldn't everyone have a massive list?

    Nope, save your $5.

Nothing against ezine solo ads, just the little bit you have told us about this one.

I say the same thing, If the subscribers are legitimate they won't sell them that cheap. More like 1.00 buck a piece.

No don't buy solo ads from there. The price should be your first clue! A really good ad will cost you around $75 for 200-250 clicks. That's if you want targeted traffic that you can actually profit from. Don't ever buy ads from places that get their traffic from traffic exchanges or safelists or other places like that.

Sounds sketchy - I would personally avoid. However - it's only $5 to try so maybe there's no harm in testing it?

I don't think it's really worth buying solo ads for $5. Better invest and look for some IMers who had a huge and responsive buyers list. In that way, you could get better results than Ezine solo ads.

    1) That is not ezine advertising nor an ezine solo ad, despite of the fact that the owner calls it Solo-Ads Ezine. There is no content published in that "publication" other than advertisers' solo ads. Therefore that is not an ezine nor a newsletter. Subscribers get credits for clicking on the links from the solo ads. That's a kind of disguised get paid to read emails

    2) They actually do NOT offer you subscribers

    3) The price of $6 (this is the price I can see from here ) is for your solo ad being sent to 500 subscribers.

Ah, so it is a safelist or something, that makes more sense... I didn't actually look at the site named.

Still, $5 or $6 for an email to 500 people, even among the safelists you can do better than that.

Yep, that's safelist type of traffic. If you're looking to buy solo ads in the IM niche, a couple of good resources to start with are Reed Floren's solo ad directory and safe-swaps.

That's worthless traffic so don't buy it... I mean, 5 bucks is not much so you can try it, but don't expect anything from that investment... as others said in this thread, valuable high quality subscribers will cost you at $0.50 each, and solo ads to quality newsletters and mailing lists are at least $50 for around 200 clicks...

Solo ads can be an awesome way to build a responsive list, if you go about it correctly. Just like Adwords, SEO, Facebook, blogging, etc. are excellent traffic sources to build lists...when used correctly.

Most everyone above is correct though...if it sounds too food to be true, then it probably is. The only way I like to buy solo ads is to pay for a set # of clicks...I don't really worry about guaranteed list size, signups, etc.

I've sent a solo ad out to a responsive list of 900 & got a better result than sending a solo out to a dead list of 12,500...what matters is the quality of the list.

If you want to buy a quality ezine solo ad, it should cost more. Also, make sure the ezine is reputable and is directly related to your niche. Lure their readers to subscribe to your site with a compelling free offer (a report, audio, etc.). Your ad copy must speak directly to your ability to solve their biggest problem.

    Blessings,

One of the worst mistakes I made starting off was buying cheap, cheap traffic from the sort of ad that you describe. Sure, I got a ton of subscribers, but they did not convert, no matter what I tried and that soon becomes expensive and demoralising.

with solo ads you generally get what you pay for

the going rate is between $30 - $60 for 100 unique clicks

just make sure you bare in mind that a $60 solo may not always be better than a $30 solo ad

some sellers get greedy and put there prices up because they are more popular and can get away with it

i like to use some of the less popular solo sellers which are not only cheaper but there traffic is often a lot better from what i have found through testing

It would be a big NO from me! I haven't used them ever, but based on what I understand from their pricing and offer I would never use them. You got to strike up a bond or relationship with your list before marketing to them. How can you create the bond when you don't even know what the list is interested in?

For me 500 subscribers for $5 makes it a no brainer...to let go of this opportunity.

    Cheers
