SMS and Email as soon as you make a Clickbank Sale

Hey,

I don't really know whether you would like this or not.
But, I have been working on a system that will email you instantly when you make a CB Product Sale.
I have also put in some more sweet features, which I won't leak out here.

I also had an idea that you would receive an SMS as well when you made a sale.

The problem here is that I would have to purchase a lot of SMS credits from a company initially , and if you guys don't really need this feature, then all my money would go down the drain...

I plan to release the software for free, but the only price a member have to pay is for the SMS.

Basically, a member shall purchase certain SMS Credits, and he'll receive that many CB sales reports sent to him via sms (the email reports are unlimited and free, obviously).

I wanted to lay it out on the table and discuss the need and feasibility of this idea, so that I could proceed with purchasing the SMS Credits...

How does the following price structure sound:

100 SMS Sales Reports - $10
1000 SMS Sales Reports - $100 ... and so on!

It can be useful for those who need updates on their sales via SMS and Emails....

I would like to see the response and need, and then proceed with the project, because I would need to spend a lot of money to purchase SMS Credits initially.

So, give in your views. Do you like the idea? Any suggestions? Or should I totally scrap it.

Hmm... I just did a similar give away for free. Except you don't need any SMS credits or anything like that... do you plan on selling this?

    No Andrew,
As mentioned above, the entire system would be free. Just the cost of SMS would be paid by user.
Your instructions are clear, but there are many affiliates who are not technical.
I have created a system which even a noob can use easily...
I am just skeptical about the market need

Personally, I wouldn't pay for this feature.

-i'd just wait till I got on my pc to check sales.

      Regards
      Adeel

    Hi,

Personally I think most of the users would be online so the SMS feature is probably not needed. Maybe get 1000 email users and then ask the question of the users....hope this helps, regards Allen

    That's a good suggestion Allen.
I thought about the SMS feature because many online marketers do have their offline jobs and can spend little time on the PC..
So, having an instant SMS when you make a sale, could be a good possibility.
Another advantage would be for those people who go on vacation...

Uh... I understand how it is in the beginning, that you want to know every time you make a penny (dime), etc. but that is a real waste of your time, and if money is that important, can you afford the SMS fees?

If you want to get notification by SMS or text message, then follow the instructions from my blog above, then instead of using your regular e-mail address for notification, just enter the e-mail address of your cell phone.

For example, my cell phone is with AT&T Wireless so my phone's e-mail address is...

      XXX1234567@txt.att.net

      Hope that helps.

Quite true Troy. There are so many people who just love the sight of a new sale.
Its like a 'phew... finally!' amongst all the hard work!
I basically needed an overview of the requirement of such a thing in the market.
I have a quick question: I have heard that in the US, you guys are charged for 'incoming sms'. Is that true?
If it is, then I probably should scrap the idea...
Although, this could work for us Indians (Incoming SMS is as free as air)

It depends on your phone plan. Some don't charge for incoming messages. Some charge if you don't have a message plan.
      Many people have unlimited message.
      Some are on limited plans.

But like someone else mentioned, only people who are new or who don't make many sales would be interested in this.
      It gets old real fast.

I can see myself getting an email about a sale to my cell phone for free because I have an email service on my phone. I think that most of the people that are making money are spending most of their time online so they don't need an SMS feature. Take this email via cell phone and offer it as an SMS.

Thanks for giving your script for free and please let me know when I can get it too.

      Have a great day.

@ Kirk - Thanks for the info. I didn't really know about the varied sms plans.

@ Mike - Thanks Mike. I shall put up a WSO when I launch it (in a week, max). I'm Putting in some really great features along with the alerts.
    I'm sure you'll love it...

    Ok.
So, I guess that each operator has a specific email domain for themselves.
That would make things extremely simple for us then, if I could get a list of mobile operators in the US with their email domains.
Anyone aware of such a list being out there?
