Building a resource page for affiliates

Hey fellow warriors, I'm the process of launching my first info product and I'm already getting inquiries from folks who would like to become affiliates.

My product is an Ebook which will be sold via ClickBank so that part is covered.

I would like to build an affiliates page on my site to make their lives as easy as possible. The affiliate pages I have seen and inspire me are the ones that have the copy and paste code for their banners and that's the direction I'm heading now.

The best one are the ones where the user enters his or hers ClickBank Id and the links are formatted for them.

For now, getting the banners with the click and paste code is the priority, a plus if they can be customized with user name.

I currently use wordpress with OptimizePress. Is there a plug-in to develop this kind of page or does it have to be commissioned to a computer programer?

My apologies if this has been already answered but I have not been able to find a thread like this anywhere in the forum. If it exists, would you please point me to it? Thank you for your wisdom.

Best!

I do not know of any plugins that do this but I am sure there are some.

However, it is actually very easy to do this in reality. Most of the affiliate pages are simple with just a picture of the banner and then the copy and paste code under it. You could probably just read a simple guide on HTML to find out how to do this.

Honestly, I think you should outsource this stuff. There are people on Odesk that will do the complete affiliate resource page for you for about $50. That's a great deal buddy!

    Hope that helps.

Those were my thoughts exactly! Thank you so much. My graphics guy is on Odesk and he's awesome. I thought a job like this would be a lot more expensive even on Odesk but now thinking about it, $50 sounds very reasonable. I will draft the specs and offer a fixed price gig.

      Thanks again and best!

Are you looking to make a "marketing tools" website, or trying to setup an affiliate sign up page? If you're looking to make a marketing tools website where affiliates can download your marketing tools for them.... a great way to find out what should be included in this "toolkit" can be found on Paydotcom. Under their affiliate tools section, they have a ton of resources that you can develop and upload for your affiliates to use.

I agree with Alen I would also just outsource it, but if there is a plugin named Digital Access Pass, its got a bunch of other stuff and I've used it for one of my websites and it comes with the codes pre-made to do everything you described (I've installed an older version Im not sure what the new version) I hope that helps.

    Good luck!

I guess I don't quite understand why this is isn't as simple as mimicking the copy-paste affiliate pages that inspire you. I guess if you don't want to write the copy-paste e-mails and create the banner ads I suppose you could outsource it, but I usually create my own affiliate pages.

Thank you VERY much for your help guys. Although I have built my own site(s), autoresponders, integration, and what not, I know when I need to outsource to produce the result that I want, I have no shame in admitting that.

Not that I cannot learn but right now, It is not the best use of my time. I'm confident that I will eventually figure it out but if I can have a professional take care of it while I create my content and take care of my one-on-one services, then I think that's a win situation for me.

Lots of excellent resources and thank you so much! I will keep you posted as to how my ventures go.

    Much success to you all.
