Where do I go for 'solo ad drops'?

Hi warriors,

Guide me in the right direction!

There used to be people selling 'solo ad drops' but I don't remember WHERE they did it!

I have quite a few available openings in my monthly email schedule for solo drops, but I don't know whether to post an ad in the classifieds, jv, or do I have to actually invest in the warroom to post a special offer?

I also don't want to come across as someone who NEEDS customers - cuz I don't. I'm just wanting to recoup the cost of my server expenses, and I'm willing to help maybe a couple people out...we'll see.

I'm guessing a special offer might not be relevant, since people usually sell products there?

Thanks!

I don't know exactly where you're supposed to post your offer but you can find easily like this: Use the Search feature of the forum and look for "solo ads". Then look at the subject lines of the threads (and at their links) and for sure you'll find out where the other warriors post their solo ad offers

Should people do this for every question they ask?

We're not going to get fresh content if everyone depends upon the search feature, which in turn, brings an archive of old information.

Duplicate topics can help attract new opinions, fresh ideas relevant to the current time. The Internet is ever evolving afterall..

        1) Nope. But for OP's question, the answer can be found THAT WAY in less than 15 seconds I told him HOW TO do it instead of offering him the exact answer

        2) "new opinions and fresh ideas" about the complicated topic "where to post the solo ad offers"? :-)

        Adrian

P.S. I assumed that he's looking for a place on this forum (like the classified ads section) where to post his solo ad offer. If my understanding is wrong and he was looking for a place OUTSIDE this forum, then you're right.

You might want to also check out buysolos.com... it shows results from several solo ad sellers in the IM niche including the page promoted with the solo, cost per click, cost per lead, and opt-in rate.

    Thanks for the replies.

Keep in mind I'm trying to SELL solo ads. I guess I can check those sources out to sell a solo ad to the owners of the sites in order to REVIEW the traffic?

Let me know how or where to sell solo ads on the warrior forum for best results!

    Thanks!

The majority of people offering them on this forum are doing so in the Classified Ads section. I went on a big search for them a few months ago and that's where I found most of them.

The JV section would also work, I guess, but the Classified section probably gets more traffic.

      Or, do both?

Definitely Ad swaps, sell solo and buy solo mailings at Safe-Swaps . I've swapped with

    • Coby Wright

    and bought a solo from

    • Igor Kheifets
    with grand results.

    Also, Kelvin Nikkels from

    Subscriber Bonanza

    is kinda sorta brilliant too.

Something I cannot get my head around is "I'll guarantee you 1,000 Unique clicks"

The operative word in that sentence being "GUARANTEE"...how can anyone guarantee that?

The list owner could send the email out and only get 150 clicks...he could send that same email again on a different day and get 300 clicks...or 800 clicks...

How can he "GUARANTEE" 1,000 clicks..more to the point...how is this even controlled full stop?...

If somebody has a Database of 5,000, how can he stop it at 1,000...

or, in some cases I read a few reviews which said: "the listowner even gave me 200 extra clicks!"...etc...etc...

How does the list owner have that control over WHO clicks the Ad, in terms of Quantities?

    Can someone explain that?....

Can anybody shed some light on this?...
    It's simple.

List owners with large lists send out emails to a set number of people on their list, not their entire list.

For example, they might have a list of 10,000 people with an average open rate of 50% and an average CTR of 50% of the people who open when they send out an email.

So, if they were selling 300 clicks they might send out an email to 1200 people on their list. 600 open, 300 click.

It might be a really enticing offer and instead of 50% clicking the link, maybe 75% do on that one occasion, hence the extra clicks.

They can't control the exact number of people who will click the link but based on the stats of their previous mail outs they can have a rough idea of how many people they need to send the email to in order to get the desired amount of clicks.

      Pat,

I think you understand exactly how it works =)

I've never allowed others to do solo ads before to this list, but let me know what you think about my classified ad if you have a chance. Someone already said they "smell something bad" maybe because they don't understand how easy it is to send clicks to their offer with this large of a list.

      My classified ad:

Maybe there's a breakdown in communication on my part? Any advice would be appreciated.

      Thank you!
