Getting More Traffic To My Fiverr Gig?

by Monthy
48 replies
Hey guys,

I have a great gig on Fiverr in a niche with pretty large demand. I think my gig offers much more than the competition, I have more than a hundred positive feedback from my customers, most of whom claim I am the best on Fiverr.

Yet my competition still get a lot more orders than I do. I have been a seller on Fiverr for about half a year now. There are sellers in my niche that have more than 3k feedback, yet their gigs are nothing compared to mine.

I just don't know how to spread the word about my gig. I tried buying some of the traffic gigs on Fiverr, but it was of no help. I think the potential is huge, I really have something unique and great to offer, but the traffic is the problem.

Any ideas how to get more traffic and orders?

Thanks!

If the service is internet marketing related you can put the link in your signature for starters.

It's pretty much the same as driving traffic to any website, you want to figure out who your target audience is first. Then figure out where they 'hang out' online. Are they spending their time on certain forums? Then join those forums, start posting, and link to your offer in your signature.

Are they searching on Google for your service? Then put up a website and SEO optimize it for those search terms (Or YouTube video which may be easier to rank, depending on the keywords). And what about social media, can you find people on Twitter that would benefit from your service? Start following them and providing valuable content PLUS an occasional link to your service. Usually about 30-50% of people on Twitter will follow you back after you start following them.

Do you have included a video for your Fiverr gig? In order for you to get traffic, you should go to internet marketing forums like Digital Point (or even here in the good ol' Warrior Forum), and put your signature link there. After that, start posting threads or replies that gives value to the community.

I am interested in this as well.
I have gigs on fiverr selling my services and even though we get quite a few orders from there others seem to be busier.

I have tried, twitter followers, facebook and also have videos on the advert.

All the rules for driving traffic to your website apply for your Micro Jobs i think.
The more exposure you get, the more sales you'll get. Create a link in your signature on forums would be the best tactic i think, closely followed by spreading your gigs on social media!

They are using social proof to make the decision on who they use. These would be my quick suggestions. 1. Make a video 2. Copy the keywords the higher rated people are using 3. Start some off site advertising strategy, start a website that utilizes a keyword that drives people to your gig. If they can't see the other gigs then they wont pick them 4. Figure out a way to drive your old customers back to your gig to increase your sales. On Fiverr sales=higher ranking for a keyword. Offer your old clients double their purchase. Getting 50 new ratings will bump you up some.

I think it also boils down to what you're selling on there. I think that Express gigs seem to sell well, but ebooks don't do tremendously well from what I see. The gigs that seem to do the most, oddly enough, are people using Scrapebox or other tools to build 1000's of backlinks (even though most of them are sketchy gigs).

Incidentally, I heard something in the recent past about how you can create backlinks to things like Youtube videos to help build it traffic or something of that nature. Not sure how this works or if this is even true or helpful. What would be the best way aside from Tweeting and Facebook to get more targeted views to a Youtube video to get it to possibly appear on Page 1 of Google for a specific keyword?

A simple tip that helped me get top rated seller status.

    Update, update, update!

Keep updating your gig, just changing a word or two in the description and press save. This helps your gig rank highly rather than dropping off into page 2+

This method kept my gig alive and now I don't need to promote or edit my gig to keep it ranking highly due to the authority of the gig

There is unfortunately no quick way to boost traffic. Participating in online communities might be slow. but it is sure.

Most of the Gigs I sell on Fiverr come from me messaging people looking for that kind of work. I get a far better response doing that than hoping people will find my Gig.

You could even outsource someone else to check Fiverr often and reply to anyone wanting what your Gig does

    1. Twitter (tweet your message to your followers or other peoples' followers in related niches)

    2. Email marketing (I send my list emails about my gigs with good results)

    3. Forum marketing (Put the gig in your sig and participate in threads and contribute)

    4. Post your gig(s) on other related micro gig sites... Even if you just get ONE purchase from each one that will increase your sales and bottom line.

    Best,

Just build a ton of gigs all related to your niche to get more exposure. build hundreds if you have to. People saturate fiverr with lots of gigs. Just build 3 a day and you might get 10 or 20 gigs all with more than a hundred positive feedback in the next 6 months. You can open as many accounts as you like on fiverr

Im interested in this also, a years ago a new gigs always start from the first page on their appropriate category.. but now it seems random. My friends new gigs just start from page 10++, so the advertising is heavier now since more and more new seller come to fiverr

maybe try to jv with some other fiverr seller that provide different service. Both will be promoting each other service on their buyer..

A few more hints I can think of

    - Using a featured capitalized word in your title
    - Rewording your description
    - Changing your GIG image
    - Generally updating the gig.

As with anything in live, the quality is what people are after - so even though they offer less than your gig, theirs may be seen as more "quality" for example like the apple brand, at the end of the day the iPhone is just a touch screen phone. And the MacBook Pro is just a laptop - but they are ridiculously expensive for what they are because of Apple's marketing that give their brand this "premium" aura. You need to take inspiration from this and make your gig have that quality attached to it and premium-ness, if thats a word.

I have a WSO at the moment that goes through this in major detail, you might find it useful, theres a link in my signature, feel free to check it out!

Some keys to my success on Fiver:
    • Use strong keywords in gig title
    • Use strong keywords in 'keywords'
    • You have to upload a video
    • social network the crap out of it
    • VERY VERY IMPORTANT: Update your gig every other day. Change around some of the keywords a bit, update the content, change some keywords. By updating your gig it refreshes back into the search listings. Trust me...do it.

Twitter, something about Twitter and fiverr gigs work well together. You can find people on Twitter who have the same audience you're trying to target, contact them independently and propose that they send a couple of tweets for your gig for a fee, or if you already have a decent size following, do some tweet swaps where you both promote each others tweets.

Now, if you really want to TURN it up a notch and money isn't the issue, you can find websites (media buys) with your audience and purchase a 1 week or 1 month text link or banner ad on their site, it's really as easy as that once you get it going, lot's more sales

Im a fiverr newbie and had just create 2 gigs a month ago. Currently Im having about 7 order per day and increasing (which is great with zero feedback). I guess your demanding gig are not demanding at all... Try to do research more on how to expand your visuallity on fiver. Even I have only 2 gigs, it take about 3 weeks for me to create one. The WSO here are great here. Try spend $30 per month to buy WSO fiverr . Hehehe.. Just my 2 cent. peace..

It will bring you few more new clients and the best thing is they will know you are a real person with knowledge as they order your gigs after they found your contribution useful for them. Hey Monthy, you should never buy traffic gigs on fiverr in my opinion. I feel that the majority of the "traffic gurus" on ther are complete phonies. When you think about it $5 for the quality of results that they claim they will deliver is impossible. Who would ever charge so little for results that are so huge?... Nobody, that's who. You get what you pay for and that has always been the truth. The other issue that I have with fiverr is the fact that you can get your account banned if you want a refund. It happened to me before. So not only can the seller lie and say that they delivered the product as stated but you can't even get your money back if you never see results. That's bogus! In my opinion I think you should use sites like Craigslist.com, Facebook.com, and PPC networks to drive traffic to your site.

  • Share your gigs in social networking sites with lots of followers.

I've seen a Fiverr gig using Adwords to generate traffic for highly targeted, long-tail keywords. This particular Fiverr had a lot of sales so I would guess the Adwords strategy was successful.

Make a video and fiverr will automatically give you more exposure. People who buy are more likely to buy if you got a video. So there is that too.

Or just use a simple video maker software like Windows Movie Maker or iMovie (if you own a Mac).

And what ever you do stay AWAY from fiverr gigs that say they will give you traffic. Avoid it like the plague!

You profile should be 100% okay. If you make a gigs on fiverr, the Fiverr will make ad on the Fiverr index page randomly. You can share your about your job, on your social media network. If your gigs excellent, you will get customer more & more.
