Ordered a total of 40+ gigs on Fiverr

Recently went on a crazy shopping spree on Fiverr, buying over 40+ gigs (mainly SEO related). Most of them are still in progress and sellers have not completed the work yet, but when they do, I'll let you guys know the results and my top 5 list of gigs that I highly recommend

See screenshot (huge image) : http://i.imgur.com/0ZC00.png

Can't wait!

      • Honestly, fiverr is great when you need ONE SPECIFIC THING done. But if you are doing a large project, it's better to outsource to a single expert who will be responsible for the whole project.

Or will leave you in the lurch. Or will do a poor job and you won't have recourse.

By distributing the work, the OP is also distributing the risk.

Just letting you know for next time.

        That seems a little condescending.

Could not disagree more. I might not order different tasks from 40 different people, but I'm definitely not giving one person the keys to my business.

Fiverr has great value for some stuff. But considering that vendors are only making $4 dollars per sale, you have to be careful what you buy. Some of the SEO related stuff is pure garbage. I can blast 10,000 links in a few minutes if I wanted to. But I won't, because it wouldn't positively benefit my money sites in any way.

Some gigs can actually harm your website.

I hope you bought the right gigs. There is great value there.

yes fiverr is good, we also offer different services there and on times use other too
But I experienced that most of the people offering SEO links services are using automated tools for link building that are not valuable and in one case I found them even bad for my site, when the links are made to irrelevant and banned site.

Anyway let me know your results.

Some useful information for you about fiverr---------
-Buy gigs after confermation especially in SEO or backlink making.
many of the saler claim for a huge backlink list just in 24 hour and they may completed this by using some scame ways(Whome google hat )
These way can send your website in dustbeen.
--facebook likes : some people also comment or claim for 1 thousand facebook like just in 24 hour and they do it.
but really from my experience these type of likes is totally wastage of money ..
they mainly use exchange system or many times some softwares.

Fiverr is awesome! I've ordered over 100 gigs in the past 6 months and 80% of the time I had a positive experience. Used it for SEO, video editing, logo design, article writing, and bunch of other stuff. If you look around, you can find some great deals.

A fiverr gig is good to get the feel for how well a new site, a mini site, or an inner-page will do before you invest in serious link-building.

For $200 you could have signed a contract with someone to guarantee you a ranking. That's what I would have done.

Good luck though, Fiverr is a lot of fun to use

I have to agree with agc. There's very little that can be guaranteed in SEO other than the process of it being done. I'm also surprised that a few people assume one a package-purchase would be a better deal than a collection of smaller purchases without knowing the details of the jobs.

The only problem with this plan is that you will have to deal with 40+ people to make sure your work is done properly etc. It can be rather time consuming. Hopefully the results will pay off though.

Best way to get quality results when ordering seo gigs etc on fiverr is to make an order to new guys , just because they are just getting started so they do provide best quality work reason is simple starters are looking to get great feedback so they can get more buyers !! ordered a gig I will provide you 10,000 instant Backlinks to your website for $5 on fiverr.com 2 weeks ago and now getting results which are no doubt outstanding . Worth spending 5 bucks

Im not saying your wrong, because in some instances that does make since. More times than not though, I personally find it better to order from express sellers and top rated sellers. It can be tough to maintain an express gig and to me it requires a much better seller. Bad feedback and being on time both play a part in keeping an express gig alive. I find I get alot more sales with my express gigs at that, so keeping them as express is very important.

Fiver is certainly full of trash and good gigs and sometimes it can be hard to find the really good ones out there, ecspecially when it comes to seo. I offer some of the same services on fiverr I use on a regular basis that I know works. I cant get every site to page 1 for $5.00 but it helps out alot. Thats where I feel alot of people get confused or their hopes up to much with fiverr. Its 5 bucks and the seller is only making $4.00. There are so many threads that pop up on IM forums about fiverr being junk when its simply not true in the big scheme of things. You cant expect to get to page 1 for $5.00 but if you know seo and what gigs to buy you can do it with fiverr very easily and for way less than it would cost elsewhere.

Its funny to see someone who ordered 20k blog comments say that it killed their site and then another person who ordered the same thing say their ranks skyrocketed upwards. The same gig and yet different results. Its simply because 1 person knew how to use them and 1 person didnt. For $5.00 you cant expect the seller to tell you how to use the gig and teach you seo.

yea you are right!i would like to say even for outsources you need to have experience ,sense and idea what will work and what won`t work , you should have a strategy when it comes to SEO your strategyis what brings you rankings, Outsourcing blindly never works when you do have a proper strategy you get success .

Fiverr is great for some things.

I just had someone create 20 tubemogul accounts (which each have all the accounts created inside them), from just one fiverr provider.

Things like that are perfect because they're easy but they take time and I'd rather that was someone else's time.

This is exactly what I have started doing. I could get so much more important work done if I didn't have to deal with the little, time consuming, tedious prerequisites. Fiverr is perfect for those.

Originally Posted by adamv View Post

I'll tell you what you can get. You can get someone to use an expensive piece of software that you may not have access to (like senuke). You can get someone to submit your article to a bunch of article directories if you don't have AMR. You can get someone to submit your article to blog networks that require a monthly membership fee that you may not be a member of.

These kind of jobs are easy enough for the service provider to complete that it makes it worth their while even for $4. And it allows the person buying the gig to do something they wouldn't be able to do if they were not willing to pay for multiple software programs or monthly membership fees.
Another great example. I know of a couple of good gigs that do keyword research using SE Cockpit, which is $77/month. If I'm building one site, I can't exactly justify that price, no matter how great the product may be. But, by paying $5, I can get access to its features without having to shell out for the full thing, and the work is relatively easy on the gig provider's end. It's a win-win.

It could also be good for split testing. For example, i'm not gonna pay the subscription fees for all the article submission/blog networks out there, but I could submit to several for $20-40 easy using Fiverr. All I need is somebody else with a subscription and the foresight to offer that as a service.

and just think, instead of buying a $1997 overpriced guru-launch product, you could've had 400 different things done on fiverr, of which even if only half or 20% turned out well, would be well worth it over the long haul when what you get for the money, all adds up.

Fiverr is great for the occasional task here or there. The key is doing your research and not trusting Fiverr's own internal rankings for things. Some of the best work I have received on Fiverr were from people buried in the stack of gigs.

I guess 40 gigs will be ok as long as you have researched the sellers to make sure they are reputable.

I have never ordered 40 gigs, but I have done well on fiverr for the most part simply because I asked others if they could recommend someone for certain tasks, and thankfully ,of the time it worked out well

In the past year I've purchased 75 gigs from fiverr, here's my thoughts on using it. It's a great place to get certain things done cheap. You may have to purchase several gigs before finding a few gems, but when you do you can use them over and over with good results. For bigger projects I use elance, scriptlance or guru, for a few key reasons, with one of the most important being that communication is waaay better and it's much easier to get a point across particularly if the details are complicated.

Anyway, here's a few of my favorite gigs...gigs I've ordered multiple times each. These folks do a great job, exactly to the specifications, and are very timely:
I will design a professional high quality EBOOK cover for $5 on fiverr.com
I will solve any CSS issues you might have for $5 on fiverr.com
I will narrate your short story or book for an MP3 audio production for $5 on fiverr.com
I will code in html/css/javascript for you for $5 on fiverr.com
I will proofread anything, up to 1500 words, for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors for $5 on fiverr.com

FYI, one of the downsides to fiverr is that they prohibit any contact with a programmer outside their platform, so if a programmer gets a great reputation and gets hired elsewhere or otherwise moves on, you can loose contact with them. It's a real pain considering how long it can take to find a good one. I don't want to suggest attempting to contact them outside of fiverr, but something tells me a lot of people do.

Sometimes cheap labor isn't all it's cracked up to be. That's why some of these companies collapse as well... they think that they can go the easiest route by getting the cheapest labor... then, when the work isn't done nearly to standards (a La cheap labor), the company is trying to play catch up but by then it's too late. Not all companies but there are those out there that do.

Definitely make sure you do your research on the Fiverr gigs that you get beforehand. Also, not sure but I probably wouldn't recommend buying a bunch of backlinks and SEO gigs at once as things need to look natural, so maybe getting a gig out there that may give you 200 backlinks within a 7 day span or something like that can appear more naturally than getting 15,250,345 backlinks in 24 hours.

There are some great Fiverr gigs out there, but there are also those that get great ratings because many don't really know what they get other than the promise of the sun, moon, and stars, and a paper to say "the Sun, Moon, and Stars are now yours. Thanks for your $5.00".

You really don't want to devalue your site from Google so harshly that it winds up on page 235 in Google search for a long tail keyword that should easily rank. Just my two cents. Shop Fiverr, but do it cautiously.

And depending on the service he used, there are some members in here that could've provided that service for two months, maybe three months (depending on the package chosen) instead of a 24 hour timeframe.

There's no SEO person out there with major talent that I could see giving the equivalent of $77 a month or $147 a month for the equated price of $5 (er, $4.00 since Fiverr gets to keep their 20%).

I totally agree with the idea of using Fiverr for simple tasks. That said I can appreciate the idea of outsourcing a whole lot of simple tasks via various gigs if you don't have a person who can do them.

It's a good way to get started and learn how to give clear instructions to an outsourcer.

Here's a post on my very first Fiverr experience along with how I recommend using the site versus how NOT to use it.

I've been on a bit of a fiverr spree lately I've gotten mixed results.

Generally it's possible for anything to really suck given the price, and you get what you pay for.

But you do get the odd really good gig.

And I'm still shocked what mad stuff people will do for $5.

Fivesquids.co.uk is cool too, some pretty bizarre gigs too.

$200 spend on Fiverr is a little crazy, but it will be interesting to know your results after everything is done.
Use Fiverr for link diversification like Forum posts or bookmarking. Not sure if they actually help but lots of those links stick which looks good because you get good link diversification.

I'm looking forward to seeing your results as well. I have been looking at some of these services myself. But, I think I will only do a few at a time and see what happens.

ive spent about 400 on fiver for seo. My results (done dec-jan); was that many of the people bull**** the links. Many under deliver. I almost wanted to leave 90% of the people a neg rep. Just my thoughts. I use it for 10k xrumer blasts tho

Love it! I've been on a few Fiverr Binges myself! I'm curious to read about your results. Many of the guys running the gigs have several gigs, so some of the work is redundant.

It will be interesting to hear the results. I have always used micro job sites exactly as adamv noted. I don't want to buy (or learn how to use) a lot of the very expensive, yet very good software out there. Something like AMR is wonderful - but until you're familiar with it, it takes a long time to get good results. Someone that uses it everyday just takes a minute or two to get set up and things roll. It makes sense to me to use gigs like that.

I love Fiverr but would never use it for SEO. SEO has just too many "cheap" shortcuts or ways to cheat.

I've used Fiverr for couple video testimonials and voiceovers, graphical designs and for advertising. And I can only recommend highly to use Fiverr on these.

That's BS. So you mean I can ban my competitor's site for $5? I thought it was common knowledge that you CAN'T ban a site based on link velocity. If that were the case, CraigsList, Facebook and plenty of authority sites would be banned. You don't think people link to those almost every second?

Not saying that you can't get quality SEO services on fiverr, but those 35K link blast on pages with 20000 OBL aren't worth anything.

    Just saying'

I've done this in the past when I've come home drunk and logged into fiverr. It's great until you wake up the next day and then realise you've bought 50+ gigs of crap you don't need.

Once I woke up and found out I was the winning bidder on eBay for a broken ceiling fan and a set of used tractor tires.

    I don't even have a tractor.

Wow, 40 gigs is a lot… I can't say with certainty that I've never had a shopping spree that large on fiverr. I'm very interested to see your results, however.

Clearly these were mostly SEO related gigs...Was there a set of keywords that you specifically trying to rank for? Are you going to be tracking your results, or are you just kind of free balling it and you're going to report on what you feel like the gains are?

    Hello there,

I've been a huge fan of Fiverr since the site launched, as both a seller and a buyer.

I have only bought one SEO gig so far, and I figured it was a safe bet since the seller was featured and had tons of positive feedbacks...only to find that they created useless profile links on free sites. Not the kind of backlinks I was hoping for, to say the least. I still left good feedback, but won't be buying from that seller again.

I think I order a huge amount on a monthly basis also. It's a great place for quick inexpensive work. I have my selection of gigs picked out.

I think the most effective gigs for fiverr are
SEO articles that you submit for spin and submission (not for main blog)
    a quick graphic design
Paid service submissions (such as SLV, MAN etc.) <-- by far the best if you don't have enough submissions per month to make the $147 subscription worth it.

As long you pick the right ones, I wouldn't use it for everything.

ACTUALLY...it ends up being a profit of an even measlier $3.92 per gig, after the Paypal fees. And the TWO WEEKS you have to wait before your money clears. And yes, I agree...that's lame.
