I just bought MNF and need some experienced users honest-to-god testimonials (and help if possible).

How accurate are the data?
What are the best ways to use this software?
What other options can be most beneficial?
... anything else you can think of... (like "Did I make a smart buy?)

I've seen every video tutorial I could find (on and off the member's page), and read all the manuals, so this is not about the basic knowledge, it's about the users who have some sort of experience with the app and I would really appreciate all the insights.

It depends what you want it to do. You can look for a large list of keywords or a variety of niche keywords. Depends what you want to do.

As for how accurate you should use multiple keyword tools to estimate accuracy.

I bought it a month ago...and let me tell you...it kicks ass. I use it to find the niches.....I like the SOC column..this really tells you how tough it is to get ranked ..I Love Commercial intent feature also...FIND BUYING KEYWORDS!!...screw KEI that some niche researchers use...its all about how many pages are optimizing for your keyword....and Ive proven it by setting up some test blogs based on Niche finder data

And its the most accurate. Screw the google search counts...way overinflated in my opinion. But then again..I'm new...but I found markets by using the google tool...then ran the same keyword through Nichefinder..and the disparity was jaw dropping.

I also like The LSI feature to give you a list of theme words that google thinks is relative to your main phrase...simple as hell

Am I happy that I bought it?

      Hell Yes

Oh..and did you get the zip drive thingie??

I pestered him for that one!

I agree Gary, this programme look powerful with the OCI and SOC stats, but I did find it somewhat puzzling when I got the green light on a search that has, say 950K quoted searches in Google. What was your experience with that? When you go to check all the links linking to the targeting page, what makes you say, hell I'll go for it - and then it pays off. This concept is completely everything against everything I've been thought about picking up right KW and that's why I'm asking.
(I had some success in IM but I'm far from living off IM, if you know what I mean)

Hi...when the green light is given for a search term....even though their may be more pages than what you might feel comfy with, what that tells you..is the competition is WEAK! Ive tested it...its accurate...Ive taken a term with 2900 search results....with over 25000 pages in listed in google for the EXACT phrase...and NICHE finder gave me a green lite...why??? because out of those 22000 pages..only 13 ...13....13......13 pages were optimizing for the keyword!!!!!!!!!

Think I might have wet my pants on that one? YUP I DID!

So the moral of that story is that..the SOC feature ...kicks ass

Like I said...I bought it....and its treated me well..

Thanx for clearing that up. That's what I wanted to find out when I said "accuracy".

I have used it before. The only thing I didn't like was having to do another click (take an extra step) to see how many organic results there were in the SERP's.

I switched over to Adword Analyzer because I just found it to be quicked.

MNF does have the "business intent" feature, though, which is very useful. Sometimes I use both.

And how do you find it in the accuracy arena? I had some really bad experience with some other software, I just got the wrong numbers.

My main intent is in creating a niche market, and I am looking for as many keywords I could find pertaining to the particular market.

Accuracy? well..as I said..and again...just my opinion..Ive taken keywords form other tools...plugged it in..and found some big differences..which truthfully has saved me a bunch of frustration.

But..everyone will have their own methods.....Personally..I dont leave home without it...oh wait..that was Karl Malden...

I don't go into markets without it..there..thats better

      Again..just my opinion

One of my friends pointed out something important about Micro Niche Finder to me a few weeks back:

Something to make sure of when you search is that you have selected "Broad" b/c the default setting is "Exact."

This is in reference to the amount of searches, not the amount of results. So, it will turn back a lot smaller numbers under "Exact" mode.

Also, you have to be sure to switch this with every single search.

I really love the tool though! It's the best keyword research tool I have seen.

So, you're saying to turn "broad" when searching instead of "exact" (default) option?

Yes, the Broad searches are what you want to look at. Far less people search for Exact, so the Broad is more relevant for us.

Matthew....I agree to some extent...but...what I go for is..selectivity...thats why I use EXACT....when someone is sitting at their table..and types in....

How to cure Kidney stones.....I want my page in their face..just as its typed...

our methods just vary...personally...the more selective the term...to me at least...the higher the buyer intent....thats why I LOVE THE OCI feature!!!

I optimize for the exact phrase..in page title..and in links I use to point to the page...

if the test pages I throw up..work...then its easy to expand the keyword list..

Personally..screw the lists that give a bazillion keywords to you....simple 4 or 5 page sites can be a killer when done right and with the right keywords.

But then again..I'm new..so this is just my opinion

No, you would be looking at people that search for How to get to the moon, w/o quotes around the phrase... if you leave it on exact, then you are looking at the people that search for "How to get to the moon" w/ the quotes around it.

You want to use Exact to analyze the results but Broad to analyze the searches.

Matthew..ok..I gotcha....I'll have to try that...but so far..using the exact...seems to have worked when getting test pages and domains....hmmmm...I guess I would rather go into the market...thinking less searches...and to find more....than go into a market think wow..lots of searches..and get obliterated....

Although I am going to try that broad match..

And to Dexthor....I dont know what you spent..I know he raised the price...

but you have ..at least I think...the best kick ass keyword tool..

    oh..and James even answers emails

That was also a consideration when I bought

    just my opinion

You might want to visit the Micro Niche Finder website because they have lots of video testimonials in the form of "How They Use The Software".

So you will get good tips on how to really use it. If you just want keyword research other tools might be cheaper but for uncovering niches and earning money relatively quickly MNF is a good tool to own.

I was concerned over the search counts and wanted to verify so I went to wordtracker and found that their daily count for terms was a division of the monthly count in MNF

Good enough for me I said

Not so! And that was exactly why I purchased MFN.
I had KWs that had enormous amount of DAILY searches in WordTracker, while at the same time I was getting ridiculously small amount of searches from Google. WordTracker has completely let me down. I don't know where they get those numbers but in reality something is very, very wrong.
When you're on the first page of G. for the KW that according to WT has 1500 searches daily, and then you find out that only 10 people comes from Google on your landing page, and you're 3rd on 1st page of G. for that and who knows how many related KWs, then there IS something very wrong with that SE tool.

Setting MNF for broad searches is largely a waste of time! The Search Engine will first look to see whether the exact term is satisfied before it looks for other combinations of the words in the keyword phrase. These are the terms people are using that are relevant to your search.

Broad Searches return a lot of results that have little to do with your "real" keyword. By returning the content of a keyword phrase in basically a random order (broad term), a lot of useless data is gathered.

By setting the program to look for "keyword phase" in quotes - phrase search - you have far more control over the information that is returned and are more likely to get meaningful information than with a broad search. Exact search just refines this further.

Although exact search is the default, the other options have also been collected and phrase or broad search can be displayed at the click of a button.

I don't follow what you are trying to say.

Are you talking about the searches or the results?

As far as saying you have more control over it... the results are exactly the same when you change it to Broad, it just changes the Search Count.

I thought you said that doing a broad search for that question "how do I get to the moon" would get you billions of results. Obviously, that's not what you meant?

"How do I get to the Moon" was obviously meant to be just an example. Why only 66 results? Because there are not too many people who are asking SE's that particular question. Try repeating that search in 147 years and you'll probably get my point.

For the following keywords I get these results:

      Breast Cancer

      Broad Search: 2,240,000
      Phrase Search: 1,830,000
      Exact Search: 246,000

      Lung Cancer

      Broad Search: 673,000
      Phrase Search: 550,000
      Exact Search: 135,000

      Skin Cancer

      Broad Search: 550,000
      Phrase Search: 450,000
      Exact Search: 110,000

      Colon Cancer:

      Broad Search: 368,000
      Phrase Search: 368,000 (sic)
      Exact Search: 90,500

People who are searching for the keyword 'breast cancer' are using phrases similar to:

      Breast Cancer (exact)
      Breast Cancer Treatment (phrase)
Does a small breast resist cancer? (broad)

I usually find it advantageous to work with closely focused keywords - those that target the product or theme that interest me. Moving away from the order of the words (and including additional words) is more likely to return searches for phrases that are unrelated to the main area of interest - the product or service to be provided.

In other words, because of the number of searches for unrelated keywords in broad search, this figure is usually inflated. Phrase and Exact search offer a more reliable guide to the number of people searching for what I am providing.

    According to MNF Manual:

Search Count - these are the average monthly counts for the number of times the given phrase was searched in Google each months. There are three possible variations of the search count: Broad, Exact and Phrase. The values in this column default to the Exact Search Count, but you can use the links just above the Phrase column header to view any of the three types of Search Counts:

Broad - these search counts include searches in which all of the words from the search phrase were used, but not necessarily in the same order.

Exact - these search counts include searches in which the searcher entered the phrase exactly as it appears in the first column.

Phrase - these search counts include searches in which all of the words from the search phrase were used, in the same order, but possibly with additional words.

Well...all I know..is that this tool was one of the best buys that I have made..(and I got a neat little zip drive! ) ....and as soon as I have any type of blog that touches anywhere near The IM niche....Ill promote the product...

As I keep saying...it kicks ass...and Ive recoupde my investment in a short time...and Ive not wasted time ..or effort..going into a market with phrases that other tools tell me..."Oh Yeah..You got a good search term here ..go for it"......now I know what a good search term is...and I know if its a buying keyword....screw the rest...

    Once again...just my opinion

MNF rocks. Full stop. In fact it is so good that it helps with
me with a simple strategy that allows me to target keywords
    that nobody else bothers with.

Here's my top tip of today, and please don't take this lightly,
    it's immensely powerful.

I often uncover lots of keywords that can be dropped into an
article, and the article still makes sense. Quite often the
search volumes for these keywords is very low, let's say a few
hundred a month. Common wisdom says.. there's not enough
searches to make it worthwhile writing an article for that
keyword. But Glenn's wisdom is, if you add up all the search
volumes together, they often out weight the search volume for
more competitive keywords. After all, typically low search
volume keywords don't have a lot of competing sites. Nobody
    bothers to write for them

So, here's what I do if I'm ever in this position.

1: copy those keywords into a text file.

2: write a generic article where an of those keywords can be
dropped into and still make sense.

3: replace the keyword with a token, lets say %keyword%

4: use an article spinner to create a new rewritten article.

5: search and replace the keyword token with the first keyword
    from your keyword list.

6: save the new article as keyword.txt (whatever the keyword
    happen to be)

7: paste the copy of your original article back into you main
editing area (you need the keyword token back).

8: repeat 4 to 7 until all your keywords are exhausted.

As you have little or no competition, you now have enough
content to own those keywords in Google.

    HTH
