Best places to advertise a job in philipines?

Hi guys,

I am looking to place a job advertisment for a new customer support / writer for our business.

I have heard good things about hiring someone from the Philipines.

Does anyone have any experience of hiring from this part of the World?

Which is the best place to advertise or look through current resumes?

Thanks in advance..

Mike

I use Jobs in Philippines, Job Search, Job Employment, Apply Job, Jobs in Manila, Work Abroad (and no, I don't own it)

They are expensive... they'll hassle you until you buy... but in the end, they are the biggest directory there.

    I have a love-hate relationship with them

You can use several of the big ones to post your ads such as getafreelancer.com or odesk.com or craigslist etc. Just look them up on google.

Employees from the Philippines are the best workers in my opinion and extremely affordable.

Just make sure lay out exactly what you need from them and ask plenty of questions to see if they will be a good fit for what you require.

    I hope this helps.

oDesk seems to be the most popular place. You can also weed out candidates pretty well through the tests they offer on oDesk.

I typically have 100 candidates in a couple of hours on odesk. It is a super simple task to find people.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

I found the people in the Philippines speak and write better English than some of the other countries I have used in the past. oDesk and Freelancer have gotten me tons of applicants but only a handful that would fit the bill.

    Good luck!

John Jonas runs a site called onlinejobs dot ph which is pretty decent, but as always you have to sort through a lot of bad ones to find the gems...

What we do is put them through a number of tests before even considering an interview, and only the ones that pass the test with flying colors will be considered...saves a lot of time. Pay a little more than average to attract the better people.

Odesk works as well, but I only do fixed contracts there now since I have had a couple of people trying to take advantage when on an hourly wage.
