i saw certain services at various forums offering free wordpress blog with premium theme and domain, if the customers signup the hosting account through their affiliate link

how this is working? what if the customer cancelled the hosting account?

seller will lost his work , right?

i was thinking abt this. anybody using or doing this type of service

That's how it work but you get paid per sign up through affiliate link.

Webhosting referrals can pay quite a bit of money. I think HostGator might pay >$100 per account if you send them enough referrals each month. Easily enough to pay for a domain name and a premium theme if the seller has a developer license for the theme.

If the customer cancels their hosting account they also lose the work they paid for.

Let's say your hosting might cost a dollar a month, the webhost will pay significantly more than that. They are paying for a converting lead.

You can cancel no problem, the only one who might lose out is the affiliate is they get a rep as someone who gives low quality leads.
