      And another, applicable to many:

Thanks Aaron that is indeed a valuable post, for any business owner and gives an insight into the minds of the creators and there ideals.

Pity it got corrupted along the way, they could have been the greatest company the world has ever seen. personally I prefer ethics and morals of the people at my local animal charity.

I like technique number 5 and the ingenuity of Tesla. Sometimes protecting your big idea means doing things behind the scenes so that competitors have no idea of what you're doing... unless they were to become a customer of yours themselves.

My favorite is number 4. Providing value is a great way to earn customers' trust. If you provide people with high value or help solve their problems for free, they not only purchase your products but also provide great free advertising for you via referrals.

Nice article. The biggest takeaway for me was the importance of creating something of value, not just creating something to make a quick buck. We're obviously all here to make money, but sometimes its important to remember that that will be a lot easier in the long-term if we actually create something that people truly appreciate.

So many times, we get caught up in wanting to make money quickly, and we forget that the best path to success is to create a REAL business that people trust. If we can succeed at that, then we've successfully taken one giant step toward the lifestyle and financial freedom we want.
