what do you use to load your WP site faster? I am looking into:
WordPress › WP Super Cache « WordPress Plugins
WordPress › W3 Total Cache « WordPress Plugins
which one is better?
#faster #load #site #wordpress

There's other things that play into load times than just caching... It's pretty much useless if you have a site running 30 crappy plugins, google ads all over the place, not using features like gzip, etc etc.

I don't think either one is better than the other, they essentially do the same thing.

How many plugins do you have? I notice that some of my sites, that are heavy with plugins, load slower. When I cut them down to 6 or 8 they load much faster.

I think 5-6 plugins are more than enough.
There should be one seo plugin- seo pressor or wp seo or any one else what You want.
For affiliate sites- amazon wp zon builder is there.
there should be one for google sitemaps.
You can have a linkwithin plugin to link other pages/related posts.
Rest 2-3 plugins of ur choice.

I'm using W3 since WP was conflicting with another plugin. Both are really good. Just like the others mentioned, the number of active plugins will affect the speed of your blog. So it would be good to monitor them and deactivate all the unnecessary plugins.

I agree with Kingfish, if you have tons of plugins, worst yet, tons of horribly made plugins that could cause some real problems on your site speed even if you have cache plugins.

I've used both cache plugins before and both of them work very well. In my opinion if you know nothing about cache, go with WP Super Cache, it seems easier. Again, both work well.

If you have no use for WP Cron you may want to disable it as it also has been know to cause high loads on sites. Only do this if you know you really don't need it. If you have lots of posts it's always good to optimize your database and there are several wordpress plugins that do this.

forget all the caching plugins. Switch to a web host that has LiteSpeed server and your WordPress sites will load 50% faster if not more.
