Website creator for service site?

Hi warriors,

i wanted to create a service site to display and sell my service. I don't want wordpress cause I am not creating a blog, It is a static site.

Suggestions?

    Your best bet would be to hire someone on here. I know that HostGator has a website builder tool if you use them, but I am not sure if it works that well or if it is what you want.

    you can just search for free xhtml css business template their are lot of them available on free web, moreover i suggest to have wordpress atleast in a subfolder as yoursite.com/blog as it might help you with SEO on static pages else you may face trouble in getting static pages ranked in google.

    Are you looking at creating it yourself or are you wanting to outsource it?

      Wordpress is still a great tool to use to create your website even if you don't want to use it as a blog.

      I can't believe you need something as complicated as Joomla for this.

      If you don't even want to use Wordpress for it, it's pretty safe to predict that you're not going to like Joomla too much, I think ...

      Wordpress isn't just for "blogs", you know? It's a content management system for websites. I'm not trying to persuade you: I don't actually use it myself.

      Simple, free solutions for you are Weebly (built-in simple website design), or Yola (similar) or Blinkweb (similar).

        Tenzho,

        I agree with you that WordPress isn't necessarily the best platform for all purposes, especially if you're not looking for any user interaction.

        If you just want to create a simple, static site, have a look at NVU:

    WordPress works great for selling services, for creating websites, blogs, on-line and off-line business sites...WordPress is a full website builder and content management solution, but here is a free alternative if you want to stick with static HTML sites that may help get you going:
