Aweber is losing subscribers for me...arrgggg

Dang it, I am using the automatic blog post feature of Aweber but periodically it sends out the last 5 posts in a row to the list. This seems to happen after I am messing with the site templates. The posts are not new, the dates are not changed, but the list gets all 5 at once, again, several times.

People are sick of my spamming them are are dropping out of the list like crazy. Dang it.

      Really... !

I'm sure its my fault for not understanding what fires off the messages, but I gotta blame it on something to save face.

Why not just ask their tech support? I'd assume that your messing with the site templates might mess with the date and make it think it's supposed to fire off something.

Yeah check with their tech support, they are good. I would guess that you are doing something that is triggering the problem, (well then again, Aweber is not perfect.)

This is an excellent feature and it shoudl be used (a lot of people don't know about it, or use it.)

And yes, you don't want to lose your list. I hate when autoresponders send out a second e-mail that usually doesn't contain anything. (And these are supposed to be "Pro" services, seen aweber, 1shoppingcart, EmailAces do this.

While I can't speak to the specifics of your problem because I haven't looked at your
account and this is a public forum, I can generalize what is probably occurring here
due to what we see with other customers from time to time.

New RSS content is detected based on the link to your website being unique. If your
template changes in a way that makes your links look different it will send out those
messages as though they were new. If you're adjusting your templates I'd recommend
turning off the automatic send option for 24 hours to let any duplicate stories be detected
and put into review mode. You can simply delete the ones you don't want to send then.
