Here's What I Did Today -- What Did You Do?

Currently I'm working on a project that sells an EDU back link(s) service.

• I took (2) hours and cut a screenium video, used iMovie for the scene transitions, garageband to create a custom audio meme and uploaded it to youtube.

• Then I wrote a 1100 word article that basically expanded on what the video said.

• I formated the article to look pretty, added the embed code to the HTML document and uploaded the unique article + video to a new page on my site. I added links on my site to inform visitors there is NEW content!

Then I started to promote the new page...

• I took a 800 word version of my 1100 word article and submited it to eZineArticles with (2) resource box links — one to my youtube video and the other to the article on my site.

• I used DigiAccelerator to run a social bookmark campaign to get a quick 200 back links. I pinged them as soon as they were done.

• I downloaded 5 articles from Article Builder, imported them into TheBestSpinner and spun them until they were at least 45% unique and submitted the articles to 1500 directories each using unique article wizard. They will go out at a rate of 50 articles per day for the next 25 days. Included the same two links in my resource box with spun anchor tags.

• I wrote a new adwords ad to test against my control ad, telling prospects about a new EDU back link building strategy they could watch a tutorial about on my site.

...and now I wait! I suspect the fruits of my labor will pay-off in a few weeks when I start to get placement, and organic traffic.

Now, if you don't mind sharing — what did you today during your internet marketing labors?

That's pretty impressive! Could serve well as a guide for others too.

I made and uploaded 4 videos on YouTube. All keyworded and
with good descriptions and optimized. Then distributed them
    with Tube Mogul.

3 of the videos were all for one product so I took the urls and
made an RSS feed which I then pinged.

    That's it so far...

Made 4 videos in one day? Sheesh -- that's quite a haul!

What did I do? Well... i spent most of my day reading thru the Traffic Secrets 2.0 guide from John Reese. I was slacking on my implementation lately, and thought that i could receive some great tips to get people back to my website. I'm implementing what i learned right now as we speak.

Nice to know that you "spammed links".

    Good job.

I wrote 3 x 1000 word articles. Posted them on 3 of my websites. "Spammed links" by paying somebody at Fiverr to do manual social bookmarking on each.

Spammed more links at BMR x 5 posts to each article. I expect each article will bring in 100 extra visitors per month for each site after a couple of weeks.

Went out for a great curry and danced like an idiot on the Wii.

Sit here having a beer and reading about the "page layout algorithm" LMAO

Mowed the grass, stacked the wood and tended to my vegy patch.

Oh, and I created a voting form for my site.

The only directly profitable thing I did today was to proof read and upload a book to amazon.

Other then that I spent a good amount of time reading on Warrior forum and other reports. Really need to force myself to spend less time reading and more time working.

I applaud your efforts...it's good that you are actively working on things to improve your business. Since today is Saturday, I played an extremely cold round of golf, and attended a Valentine's banquet with my beautiful wife!

Finished working on my opt-in page for my lead generator free-ebook.

Interviewed a professional that I'll be working with to build a membership site.

Met with a business partner to discuss an ecommerce site.

Additionally, I picked up a DSLR and had a great time snapping photos on this sunny day in Seoul.

    And it's only Sunday!

Responded to some emails ... Yahoo answers ... analyzed some local sites as prospects to approach for SEO and marketing ... had coffee with a friend ... followed up on a blog design lead for a local health/fitness pro ... social bookmarking at socialadr ... bought stock photos ... got a good start on designing a new massage website for a local business ... touching up the website design for the local food bank I did for free (my donation) ... did laundry ... brainstorming more ideas for my daughters blog design ... made notes for my next blog post ... made soup ... gave feedback on some fiverr gigs I hired ... researching on WF the building of lead generation sites (a local business told me this week they would pay well for them). Typical Saturday.

  • Today I did some work on my new WSO out at the end of the month, I built a couple of high PR backlinks to my sites, and I investigated a couple of adswaps for later in the month.

Posting on forums is also great way to enhance your traffic for your you tube videos. However, writing article along with video is also good effort.

I wrote maybe 300 words total for my sales page and will probably be polishing the text all day tomorrow. Does not sound like a lot of work but sales copy is very important to me.

That's a pretty productive day I'd say! I just decided to stop by the forum and see if I could find any new idea's on direct targeted traffic, but when you have a concept no one has ever heard of before the targeted traffic part gets difficult! I was thinking of doing a wso or posting in the classifieds but it's one of those days where there is so much to be done! Coming to the forum was me taking a break!

I typed in a total of 20 different keywords, out of a prepared list, in Google to see how competitive they really are and sorted them in another site build to-do list. Now I'm tired lol.

Also made an add to look for a cheap outsourcer and checked some rankings, and read a few idea's on forum, it was a long night

All in all quite productive and ticked off the list.
