Any suggestions for an affordable autoresponder?

Hello,

Any suggestions for a cheap way to collect information from a squeeze page (name, phone number, email, address)? The users would then be taken to a thank you page where they can download a free report available in pdf format. I don't need an autoresponder as I have a separate data management system that does it.

All I need is something to extract the infromation obtained from a squeeze page (name, phone number, email, address) and then I will manually input this information into my separate data management system. Would I need a traditional autoresponder system for that such as aweber or icontact? Or is there a way to just oextract that information as there is no need to send a follow up email?

Thank you

If you're running Wordpress there are "forms" plugins you can use to gather just about any info you need. If not, you can go over to Warriors For Hire and look for a programmer or even a Webmaster who'll create a script for it. You might even be able to find one free by doing a simple search for forms script. Good luck.

If you don't need to send a follow-up email or confirmation email then you should just add a simple form to your website. You could then have an email notification sent to you to let you know when somebody submits their information, or if you're using some of the Wordpress plugins you may be able to see that information in your control panel.

If you need the email capabilities, I know Mailchimp offers a free plan with some restrictions, but it may do the trick for you.

Please tell us why getresponse is best. Why do you like it better than aweber? Thank you.

Go with aweber and avoid the hassle of having tools to manage. The Aweber reports are worth the value alone. Its $1 for the first month and $19 a month for up to 500 subscribers. The price goes up from there.

As mentioned, there are plenty of free form plugins you could use. But most will just email you the submitted details - so you then have a manual task to move that data somewhere useful.
Or you could try integrating something like WuFoo, which will also keep the data in a database for you - which can be extracted in CSV format when you need it. They have a free plan which will do you if you expect under 100 submisisons per month.

I know that icontact and getresponse both have free options that allow up to 100 leads so if you are just exporting the info. to your own database these could be two good options no out of pocket cost. Also list wire is free unlimited leads.

An auto responder is one of the most important things you will need in your online business, especially for gathering your opt ins.
Aweber is on a $1 trial for the first month, i really wouldnt be a tight arse on this one for the sake of a few dollars a month, unless your not that serious about making money online.

    Hope this helps

You can spin your wheels looking for a auto-responder but for my money you won't find any better than Aweber. Their support is second to none. See how much support you get from others because Aweber is just a simple phone call away.

I've had to compare between aweber and getresponse, and I found out that what one gains in something, the other compensates with another. So just choose any of them and run along with it.

Aweber is the best I think but if you want to try something cheaper you could take a look at mailchimp. I think they are free up to 2,000 subscribers.

I think the original poster is an affiliate marketer. I'm pretty sure that mailchimp forbids any form of affiliate marketing, directly or even indireclty.

I think the only real choices worth considering, if he is serious, are aweber and getresponse.

Exactly so ... more than that: it evens forbids people who do any affiliate marketing anywhere else even not using their autoresponder to do it (how's that for "restrictive"?!). http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5474727

Those are my two recommendations, also.

This recent post might help (though I understand it's possible the details mentioned in it about GetResponse may be a week out of date now, and that point might have changed!): http://www.warriorforum.com/internet...ml#post5525859

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Imnica Mail. Totally rules in terms of price in my opinion, and I see nothing to complain about regarding delivery rate. For up to 1,000 subscribers you pay as little as $28 or so per YEAR. They have a weekly, quarterly (10% off) and annual (20% off) subscription.

Customer support usually takes around 24 hours, but they have consistently gotten back to me and been very helpful.

You can do it very easily if with a simple PHP script which will write the user input in a text file.
If you don't want to mess with PHP imnica mail is free for the first 1000 subscribers.

I stumbled upon campayn(dot)com this week looks interesting. What do you guys think? They have newsletters design, optin forms, reporting and a little twist that contacts are unlimited but the mails you can send are capped according to your per monthly payment subscription size. It starts with 7 dollars for 1000 mails you can send.
