Ideas on getting people to review on Fiverr?

Hey Warriors,

I've recently become more active on fiverr, bringing in a couple gigs a day and I was wondering how others are encouraging their customers to review your gig? Is there a certain type of language you're using? I think I'm providing a pretty good service and would just like to get good feedback so my account can flourish and ultimately level up.

Any ideas would be really appreciated! Knowing how people in the IM community are handling it will help as my gig is IM-related.

In the gig delivery message, I ask my buyers to contact me if they are unhappy with anything about the delivered work before leaving a review, or otherwise to leave me a positive review. Most of my buyers leave me a positive review - only a few don't bother to leave anything.

If you aren't managing to get your customers to leave reviews, may be you could offer a free "bonus" (that doesn't cost you anything/much to provide) in exchange for leaving you a positive review.

    • I'm not going to answer your question.

Instead, I'm going to help you get more gigs. (You can stop reading now if more gigs would be a problem.)

Your gig description is very IM-y, because you're targeting current IMers. But wouldn't you also like to sell to people who are just dipping a toe in the water?

Buying a $5 gig is an excellent way for a casual observer to try out something -- IM -- without making a huge commitment. But to sell to this person you need to make your pitch a little more basic. He may not realize what a niche is. She may not realize the importance of an exact match domain.

My suggestion is two-fold: One, put basic, friendly, brief IM info in your profile. Two, make a gig video with the same approach. Talk about *why* someone would want to buy your gig, i.e. they want to make lots of money with AdSense. Or they want to sell products. Or whatever.

Thanks megawarrior...you actually make a good point. I went ahead and followed up with people that hadn't reviewed and already received 3 positive reviews since! Huge help...I guess I wasn't looking in the right place for the answer

Never encountered this problem on fiverr, but most of my conversations with customers were ending like this:
      - "ok here are the files, let me know if it is ok"
      - "got the files, thanks man"
      - "cool, can you leave a review also pls ?"
      ...and that was all...

Thanks a bunch Fluff...I guess I'm only targeting people that are seasoned in IM. You're absolutely right. I should make it more broad and engaging.

As for the video, I actually created one this morning and uploaded it. It's in the review process. Thank you for the recommendations!

This sounds about right...I just want to make sure my service is high-quality. I'm not trying to get reviews for the sake of getting reviews. I want people to value what I'm doing. That way, referrals will get sent my way and people will be ultimately happier. I have a 100% rating at the moment so I'll keep doing what I'm doing I think my Exact Match Domains are definitely worth $5. Not to mention, I over-deliver on every order

Ask them politely if they can leave positive feedback. And right after that ask them to let you know how to improve it if they didn't like it. That's for the delivery message...

And if you really want to get more people to leave positive reviews, I would suggest you to respond to the orders right when you get a message about it. Send them a message that you thank them for ordering and you will begin the work in a minute. This way they see you care and are more likely to leave a review. This is my experience.

This is something I almost hate. The review is not honest then.

When someone do this, I won't order again. I think the special offer shouldn't depend on your review.
