This is a difficult question to answer because it depends on your skillset. It can be quicker to make money offline if you are willing to approach offline businesses directly and offer your services directly.

Whatever, business model you try, you need to offer genuine value - so what value can you offer?

There are very successful marketers using all sorts of business models to make money from the internet - look around this forum and you will see that there are not just two business models:
    - mini niche sites
    - membership sites
    - flipping sites
    - article marketing services
    - ebay & amazon
    - affiliate marketing
    - mobile marketing
    - services to offline businesses - websites, mobile sites, facebook fan pages, google places, email marketing etc etc
    - etc etc

My advice is to find a niche, skill or tool that interests you and really become an expert in that area and then seek to monetise it and grow from there.

Both are the same. If you know what you are doing, you provide value and care about your customers, it doesn't really matter if you are offline or online.

You can meet a big success either way.

However, you need to invest a lot of time and effort to do it.

Both are very powerful. It all depends on the person. If they wish to focus on building their business online, then they will most likely succeed more online. If offline, then offline. Online marketing definitely has more reach though and takes time and effort to build.

I would suggest focusing on what you are confident and proficient in. That way you will make more money. No point starting in a niche you know little about and expecting riches quickly.
