Here's the quick rundown:
- I have the potential to monetize my website for millions
- I have not yet monetized other than a few small ads
- 200k subscribers to my "blog"
- 200k - 1 million views per entry (avg 250k after 2 months)
- New "blog" entry every week that has a lot of user interaction. Usually over 2,000 comments after a week of publishing.
- provide amazing free content to my fans
- my fans are very invested in me as a PERSON. They do love my work
- have never sold/offered anything for sale
- self help industry
- Have been featured on Television multiple times and TV show currently in works.

NOW, here is my question: as a COMPLETE newbie to internet marketing can someone point me in the direction to a blog/book/person that can help me?

You've accomplished all of that yet call yourself a "COMPLETE newbie"? I'm confused.

Yea, you don't sound like a newbie to me? 200k subscribers puts you right up there with the "guru" list builders.

I to would like to see it please.

And then write an ebook on how you got 200k subscribers to your blog as a newbie and sell it as a WSO

    Really easy man,

Step #1 Create a ebook on the subject of your niche
Step #2 Promote it to your readers via a sales page

Learn to write sales copy yourself by reading everything on the subject from guys like Dan Kennedy, Yanik Silver, Frank Kern and so on. I would never hire a "no name" guy off this forum for copy no matter how many people liked his service.

Sheesh! Instead of you coming here to ask us comparitive "newbies" for help, we should be asking YOU how you did it!!!!!

I also have a POTENTIAL to make MILLIONS also with an audience in the BILLIONS here. Not trying to poke fun at your question BUT if you claim to have done all that, I can't see how you could ask that and not already know the answer.

Sorry if my post is not helpful. But like Derek says, create a product and sell it to your audience. If they "love" your work as you say, they'll eat it up.

When it comes to internet marketing, i do indeed know very little. Everything I have done has been a labor of love and the audience has grown naturally with literally zero paid advertising/promotion.

I've been told by many that the potential is HUGE - but I don't know where to begin when it comes to this. Can someone just give me a place to start

With the massive following you've built, why not create some sort of product like an eBook or program and sell it to your subscribers? With more than 200,000 subscribers you could even sell it relatively cheaply and still make a great income.

It does not make him a guru. He has already said he knows nothing about Internet Marketing. There are plenty of people on the Internet who have huge followings and do not know a thing about monetizing it.

Your first step is to start building a list, pronto. You might have a huge audience but if your blog was to shut down tomorrow (for whatever reason) you would be left with nothing. The only way to get around this problem is to get people on to an email list YOU own. That way you now have an asset and you can start building things from there. But building your lists would be my number 1 priority.

Nice one (points back at you)

In case you're not joking -

    a) compile your best work into a comprehensive format that achieves a goal (solves a problem) as a pdf (for example)

    b) write a salespage that explains the problem and provides the solution (IE the pdf) and promote this to your subscribers

    c) charge money for it and capture email addresses in the process

    d) make sure you're not providing all of the solutions in your blog posts from now on and save the best ones for your paid products

    e) go back to a) and either keep providing more of the same, or look to segregate prospects into different funnels with different types of products/prices, plus utilise the email list of buyers, write a best-selling book then retire from the industry repeatedly with a farewell sale in typical boxer (just one more 'final' encore) style.

The most popular option amongst the bloggers I read is to collate their best work, add some new content and sell it as a physical book to the existing readership. I own several books that have been produced in just that way.

Ah come on chaps, see his point of view here. Yes he has a massive list of hungry readers, but by his own admission he has no idea how to market to them effectively.

Once you start selling to them, you are going to lose some subscribers purely due to them taking it as a personal insult.

The question you need to ask yourself is would you be prepared to lose some of them if it meant making money off the others? You are in a high impact niche where you can easily make millions of $$$ profit.

If you take standardized mathematics and say you might lose a quarter of them if you start selling (remember these are people who have not been sold to by you in the past) so your subscriber list goes down to 150k. Now standard conversion rates are usually between 1 & 5% but in your case, a) they are not qualified buyers and b) they are a mix of demographics. So if as an example, you sell a product aimed at women, are you cutting half your potential market out of the process (the males). Without knowing the demographics you are always going to be using some guesswork, but if you go conservative and say a 1/4 of a percent convert per mailing. Of your 150K subscribers, 350-400 convert.

Multiply that by the price of the product, say 20 bucks and you have a pre-tax profit of around $8,000. If you sent out one mailing a week you're looking at $416K a year pre tax profit.

If you are happy to do that and lose a quarter of your member base, then absolutely go for it.

Look up health at Affiliate Marketing - Find the Best Affiliate Programs and CPA Offers from OfferVault to get an idea of the kind of things you can market.

In most things like this, personally I would go for a whitelabel product (One you can put your own branding on).

Let me know if you are open to guest-blogging, I'm sure I could come up with something good for you.
