blank wp-admin page

My wordpress site is working fine for the regular page but when I attempt to go to the /wp-admin page I just get a blank white page.

stop-yeast-infections.com/wp-admin

any suggestions?

It was working fine 2 days ago when I last attempted to login. I've made no changes recently.

    I've already FTP'd in and renamed the plugins folder to see if it was a plugin causing the problem. Still doesn't work.

      A quick suggestion: take a look at your functions.php file, and make sure the are NO spaces at the top or bottom. This could very likely be the cause.

        If that does not work for you, check out your Error Log through your hosting provider.

        ... I have a hunch you will have a potential problem with your wp-config.php file.

          Thanks for those two suggestions. Neither of them worked unfortunately.

          There is no extra space in functions.php
          there are no errors in my site's error log related to that file (or anything on this site)

    If you are sure you haven't do anything try contacting your host regarding this problem.... They will figure this out for you in couple of hours

    It seems there is problem with server permissions......

    Contact your hosting provider.

    This happened to me before and I got on live chat with Hostgator and they fixed it in about 2 minutes.

    Hostgator have really stepped up with their customer support in the last couple of years.

    You need to use the folder you installed WP to.

    I know when you go to your main URL, WP shows up. But what I'm talking about is this:

    Say your domain is MyDomain.com

    When you type in MyDomain.com in the browser, it shows your blog.

    However that doesnt mean WP is installed to there.

    You need to find the installation folder, THEN add the wp-admin to it.

    So if you installed it to a folder called wordpress, the link to the dashboard would be:

    MyDomain.com/wordpress/wp-admin

    Only you & your hosting will know what the folder is though - so if you don't know it, contact them.

    I had the same problem with one of my blogs after using wprobot. I had to remove it to get it to work, but I think you have already eliminated the plugins

      Another suggestion: It could be the theme which has broken; try deleting the theme you currently have active, the programming will then switch back to the default theme. See it it works then.
