Most effecient ways/methods to advertise your online business?

It depends upon the type of business, your budget and so on.

I use a lot of organic search engine results, but I know people doing media buys and the like and it depends on the niche as to where you'd buy the ads.

You could use Adwords or Facebook Ads, buy solo ads, place classified ads and the like.

There are lots of different ways but you need to think about your niche and budget and then decide where your niche is hanging out.

I use direct marketing on facebook sometimes which you can read about if you follow my link or using other social media tactics. Depending on what your site is about driving group traffic from facebook to your site can build you a list rather rapidly. In the early days of a site this method will generate traffic instantly.

if you are new than i will suggest you to start with free methods.
i was using craigslist classified website for adverting my digital products and my offline business as well and it was successful i start getting sales and leads via craigslist
craigslist is very powerful platform if you know how to use it to it's maximum potential.
another way you can do is to start contact the website owners who represent your niche and start linking process that will generate traffic for you as well
you can also create youtube account and start posting your video there and if your content has some value than you will start getting traffic from youtube as well
i can talk about so many more efficient methods here but i need to know your niche first

Another great tip is to try finding IMers that share the same interest as yours. Build a relationship with them and build trust. When you reach a certain level of trust you may decide and ask that they promote you or mention your website in their blogs for free or sometimes with a fee. You can also ask them if they can recommend someone they trust to promote you too. It would be best to connect with the authorities in your niche because they really have a lot of followers. And if they promote you in their website, their followers may check out your site.

For me, it is great to use social and video marketing because they are absolutely free and MILLIONS of people worldwide use YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

One great (and FREE) social media marketing tactic is to create a Facebook fan page for your business, and then post that page to groups and pages that are similar to your own. Include a bit of value-adding commentary with each post so people don't see you as a spammer. You can get a lot of free Facebook fans that way!

Facebook can do so much for your business, but yes, it really does depend on what niche you are in and how much you have to spend.

If you can be patient, you can do free advertising, but if you want results quick, you need to pay for it.

Start building a presence on the social networks, it's free and has massive potential. But don't forget to be consistently using it otherwise it won't be as effective.

I've just recently embarked on a 100% free marketing campaign. The results are good. I'm getting traffic and sales, and i'm seeing a reality that my free marketing efforts get me better results than when i used to use paid advertising.

If you don't mind working... do article marketing, do post on forums, put up some Youtube videos, start a blog, start a forum, do some email marketing, and do some SEO. You'll get yourself some great traffic and sales if you combine all of these together.
