hi guys, I would like some advice on squeeze page seo and backlinking if possible. I've seen some threads on here but most seem to go of topic.

I'd like to know if its ok to add some internal links at the bottom of my squeeze under 1 or 2 tabs, say home page. They would have article content in. Then submit the articles to directories and also use the pages with anchor text linking to my pages on forums and such like? would this help with content also is it best to backlink to the squeeze direct or the pages with anchor text ?

thanks peter

Yes, I've seen a good number of squeeze pages ranking in the google serps, but it is no longer as effective as before. Your best bet would be to use good articles and backlink them rather than your squeeze page, and then direct your visitors to your squeeze page.

This way your squeeze page does the only task it should do, and that is encouraging your visitor to submit their email addresses. Any other additional information is just a distraction.

      hi dann,
Thanks for the good advice i will do just that, so it is not a good idea to link directly to the page ? never backlink the sqeeze page then ? and if you have any good ideas where i should start i.e articles first then forums then bookmarking sites or just mix it up ? also i have got se nuke but have been told if i use it only use it a little say 2 times a weeks and use the natural techniques more, is this good advice?

      thankyou for your comments

I agree with the second part but on the first part, I get my squeeze page ranked as the primary and am on page 1 of google.

I always backlink my squeeze page as my primary page and list it in any and all marketing I do for the site.

However, I also backlink my other pages on that site.

I have no tabs on the squeeze pages as was already stated, you want the only thing for them to do is opt in. No distractions.

I've also found that it is more about the quality of the backlinks than just the quantity. I'm not saying quantity is bad or unimportant either but in having my squeeze page in #1 position ahead of many other sites with a lot more content kind of tells the story for me.

In the end, the only final proof is sales and money in the bank, though.

yeah that is an excellent idea I do alot of the same stuff with my squeeze pages you can do an internal linking structure that will actually match googles exact algorithms too complex to explain in a post .. But this will help it rank extremely well also you can link it to a wordpress blog called articles and have pages named after the main keyword you want to rank for and then pages with LSI keywords that link back to the main keyword page each page contains an article optimized for that particular keyword make sure kw is the title I hope that makes sense all of the pages link back to the squeeze page and then the squeeze page links back to the blog titled articles make sense??
