When people call you out...

Hey guys,

In your niche - do you ever face people telling you you don't know what you are talking about (even when you do)? If so how do you deal with that?

Having people think you are wrong is :
      - A sign of success. The more successful you are, the more criticism you'll get. So long as you know at the same time you're helping/informing people, it's just part of the package.
      - An opportunity to analyse and make your work better
      - An opportunity to learn
      - An opportunity to develop yourself personally

So enjoy it, the cloud has a silver lining.

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

There are always negative people out there, and they just try to get you worked up to make themselves feel better. Ignore them, continue what you're doing, and know that you're making a positive impact on peoples lives. Your time and energy is better spent focusing on the positives than the negatives.

Always remember that you cannot have a debate with an unwilling participant. Sometimes, especially on the Internet where many folks think they are bullet proof, naysayers will ignore any facts and always rant back with what they want the facts to be. They will spout them off as if they are true. Some are even pros at it and have a knack for pulling other simpletons into their fight.

Those are the types of people that you want to ignore. You will rarely come out of that fight looking good. You might say all the right things, but if you go back and forth with them, you still look bad in the end.

There are others that may have a good point. Don't always take criticism as somebody attacking you. If it weren't for constructive criticism, I wouldn't be where I am today.

Nobody likes being told they are wrong, but that is how we learn. As for the folks that are spewing just to spew, hit the like button and thank them for their posts. It drives them mad. If you meet them in the real world, smile at them and leave it at that. If that doesn't work, you could always go Chuck Norris on them.

I only talk about things that exactly like you said are actionable and will make money. If I'm giving advice that is. If what I'm saying is theory I always let it be known its theory, that way people don't argue with me and I don't argue with people about something I just think is true.

Get to know your information better and I don't think this will happen anymore.

R U kidding me? I get that all the time -- not just in business. My own family for C** sakes.

First off you have to NOT lose your cool. And if you do lose it do NOT show it.

First provide proof that what you are saying is true. Doing this will at least show others listening or watching that you know what you are talking about. Then you can go one of two ways. You can either ask the person to provide their proof. You might not want to do this because it is confrontational and most likely will not end well no matter what. What I would do at this point, if they don't drop it is to tell them that you can answer all their questions offline as they are taking away from your other clients.

        Either way it's always difficult.

I've faced it in every offline business I've ever created...I just smile and move on.

Just expect it. The more successful you get the more attention you get and the more negative you get. If you have a lot of happy clients and are making money and getting success stories, just let whatever any negative people say go.

You can't be everything to everyone.

Look up any multi millionaire success story online and you will find people who say negative things about them.

Once someone told me to "keep my day job".....I hadn't work for someone else in years and I probably paid more in taxes than that guy made in 10 years.

I just said, "ok, I will."

On my authority site, there are a handful of regular dissenters. They very vocally disagree with what I write.

When that happens, almost invariably many others back me up and defend my position.

    It's extra content.

Please do not let this bother, or affect, you. I still remember fellow students from my elementary school days who did not have "social graces." Basically, they were simply negative and readily willing to put someone down. Fast forward many years to a high school reunion and some of these former fellow students were there. Unfortunately, time had only served to make them even more negative.

Stay positive and keep on the high road. Having a good sense of values and maintaining your integrity never goes out of style.

When you have haters, that means you're doing something right.

F them and just do you. Don't let it get to you.

If you really know what you are talking about .. make it a point to make them the point. They can't win a war they are not armed to fight.

If you happen to be wrong .. hand them your head on a silver platter .. what else can they ask for?

If you are insecure, this will drive you nuts, and force you to fight to the death.

If you are secure, you can choose when to let it slide off you, and you can choose when to respond, and when you are responding by choice you usually can respond much more effectively.

So the real question is, why do you care when someone says you don't know what you're talking about?

I like to use my camcorder and go into my papal and other accounts and show proof in their face just how well I am doing and turn and smile and say have a good day Hater

Note: screen shots are lame anyone can do them that script is so old, but a cam shot or even like Mr.Kern did recently with $20,000 cash in front of him how Brilliant!!!

I know for a fact there all a lot of haters in this forum but i also believe there are more innocent people who really want to make money with IM that are getting scammed unless someone can show you cash or a video shot of money I would not believe them-granted People can also minupilate video but hey I would believe a video over a screen shot any day.
