Need Help Affiliate Marketing Beginner

I am giving my shot on affiliate marketing. I have read tons of informtion out there and already have a few things down. I know that I need to build a list, have my own website, and do keyword research. I however, do not know how to pick a niche that is profitable. I love cats and would love to get into the cat niche, but I am not sure if money can be made. I tried blogging, and used adsense, but for some unknown reason I was banned from adsense. I asked if they could reinstate my account, but unfortuately they can't.

    Hi reddawn5297,

I would seek more information and follow a course in niche marketing if I were you. There's plenty of very affordable offers on this forum and on that specific opportunity.

I can also suggest to access the private section (War Room membership) of this forum for a small fee of $37 good for 20 years. In that section, a lot of pertinent information is available to you.

    Cheers

    David

Good keyword research will help you find a cat niche. I know nothing about cats, but I'm sure cat lovers like buying things for their cats. A site monetized by Amazon would make sense to me.

Can you train cats? If so, I'm sure there are cat training courses that can be sold. Do cats need medicine? Maybe there's a big ole sick cat niche out there.

Don't guess at a niche, do your keyword research, spend some time on Amazon, and surely you can find something.

I'm sure there is money to be made in the cat niche. The dog niche is huge, so I don't see why cats would be different.

You could create your own product and market it, or build a site about cats, and allow people to sign up for your newsletter, and market them related products etc.

If you are focusing on affiliate marketing I suggest to find an offer using Offervault. You can find an offer using keywords. Apply to the affiliate netwoks with the niche you choose.

Make sure you read some review in this forum before applying for a less familiar network.

OH! for cat you can promote:

Amazon products like cat bed, cat toys, cat tree, etc. ie- Amazon.com: cat: Pet Supplies

Clickbank products for Cat niche: Marketplace - ClickBank

    Hope it helps

Sounds like you already know what to do. So get started on it. Get an autoresponder. It's cheap but invaluable, then find a niche looking for a solution, and get the affiliate product or service that can take care of that problem. If you want to do the cat niche, test it out to see if it's worth your while. If it isn't, switch to a different niche. Stay on the rebound. Even in the toughest niches you can still make some good money.

Hey, and welcome to the Warrior Forum. The pet industry is a profitable niche in general. There's a saying in internet marketing that goes, "If there's a magazine, there's a niche. Cats are also popular. I did some checking with the free Google keyword tool, and here are a few things from which you could profit:

people want to know how to train their cats: cat litter training to teaching them how to use an the toilet (didn't know this was possible), lol

people are looking for cat foods

people are looking to cure common issues like coughing, sneezing, and vomiting

people are looking for cat accessories like carriers, scratching posts, collars, beds, towers, clothes and so on.

As you can see, there's a lot you can do, This was just a quick search, too, so imagine what someone like you, who has a passion for this niche can do. Lots of the products you will promote will be physical, and some might be digital. Someone who is looking to cure something might pick up an e-book. Oh, I wouldn't worry too much about your adsense acct. because you should put adsense on a page where you are promoting products using affiliate marketing -- drives traffic away from site.

    Good luck,
    Joey

You can generally get a feel for the potential profitability of a niche by looking at the 'buyer keywords' and how many searches they generate. take a look at this blog post (not mine) for a few ideas.

There is LOADS of money in the "pets" niche. You need to make sure that you get your keyword selection right at the beginning otherwise if you get this worng you could invest months and months of your time building blogs etc and not make a dime. Like others have said spend time to find the right "buyer" keywords....once you start with these the rest should fall into place....

the word "cat " is not a niche, you should study more on keyword research.

I think the cats niche is huge! You just need to tap into the cat lovers needs and common problems and provide them with solutions through affiliate products and/or your personal experience.

So everyone has said that this particular niche is huge. I tend to look for my niche by going to CBEngine>Category List>Home&Garden>Animal Care & Pets. If you look there, there is 375 products in that niche. You would need to narrow it down to cats vs dogs vs others but I think this should help to see if it is a viable option. This also gives you access to some really good affiliate stuff. PLR is also a great way to go too. Hope this helps.

    Hey Redawn5297,

PLR is a great way to get started quickly and easily if you do not have a product yourself. However, I think it is agreed in IM marketing circles that the best way to make BIG money is to have YOUR OWN products. I am sure you would be able to write a short 10-20 page ebook of some specific sub niche of the overall broad niche of "cats". Plus, with orginal content their are a host of other monetization techniques you can adopt.....good luck. Stay strong and Prosper!!
