Issue a license key for a wordpress theme?

Since i posted this question in programing talk section 2 days ago but did n`t found any answer so am asking here

I'm having a WordPress theme developed and I would like to issue a license key to each user/purchaser of the Theme that will allow them to use it on unlimited domains. Can someone refer me to an information source to learn more on how to do this?

    Unless you're a programmer, I don't think you can do this. A programmer would have to set up a licensing server for you, I believe.

    ^^^Yep to this. Your programmer needs to have a server that logs the live licence keys so if they buy a licence for 3 sites and place it on more it will not allow it. They should be able to do this if they know what they are doing. Maybe place a job on Elance or something, there will be plenty of programmers that have done this and should be able to do pretty easily.
