Yes I would. I went for 3 months without earning a penny before I started to make money online.

Would you?

  • Of course most beginners will pay for helpful information.
Otherwise the WSO forum wouldn't exist.
  • I'm taking about a complete newbie guide even going through the steps of buying a domain ect...

    • If you are looking for WSO ideas it's been done 100 times.
You would have to find a unique way of presenting the info.

  • Maybe a guide for different amouts of investment.
  • I agree Dosh - the right content when picked up as a WSO will save you hundreds of dollars over almost anywhere else.
  • Nope . I wont spend any money for startup to earn money online.
Because if you do hardwork to read more and search more, mostly you can find free information sharing around on net and on success blogger to look forward how they make money .
    • [ 1 ] Thanks

    • If I'm a newbie, I'd spent my money on audios about IM success stories

couldn't agree more...The only money I spent on when I first started , spent on my monthly hosting. That's because I didn't have spare money even to go for the yearly one...

Yup...That's right...Luckily, It didn't took long before I started making some money. I re invest all the money I earn and multiply it.

  • I voted for "yes". I've already done this and i have gotten nowhere with it. But with alot of trial and error and years of experience, i know what i'm doing now.
  • Of course before purchasing, we should be able to gather different guides that offer help to our purpose. And then from there, we can select and pick the best ones with consideration to the amount of help it could give us and the price it offers. If I'm a newbie, I'd really buy a guide - but I'll make sure I do precautionary steps first before settling on one guide to buy.
  • Definitely :-)

Need to invest before getting the fruits.

If you're investing in WSO, check their reviews carefully 1st before putting in your hard earned $$$

    Hope it helps :-)

    • we all have to start from somewhere!

  • If I have already made up my mind to start making money online, then definitely I will buy a guide that shows me how. But if I am still on the fences, not yet sure about what I should do with my life, then I will keep searching for free information.

So it will depend on where I am with regard to my choices.
  • Yes,, and I would have paid handsomely to know what I know now. But newbies don't know this,, unfortunately
  • If I have already made up my mind to start making money online, then definitely I will buy a guide that can help me avoid the mistakes others have made.

But if I am still on the fences, not sure and not yet decided, I will continue to look for free information until I get enough to get me started without paying for a guide.

    So it depends.
  • Yes of course , to start making money you need to spend some money .
  • Possibly. Actually, I did purchase a WSO or two about making money several years ago when I started out (I was seeking methods, NOT guides on how to register a domain, host a site, register for adsense, etc). But I stuck mostly with free info back then. I think most people who are yet to have made a penny online are reluctant to spend money on info, especially given all the information freely available. Unless of course the guide contains unsaturated/unique ideas or specialist information.
  • Perhaps... but what would make it seem any different to the billion other guides out there that others offer....?

That's what I'd want to know.

  • First thing I did when I first started out, was seek a guide to take me through everything I needed to know to get going and beyond, and though - looking back now - the info was super basic... It cut literally months of my learning and accelerated my progress tenfold.

The only tricky thing is, there's a lot of crap out there that may seduce you to buy their stuff so make sure to do your research not only on the guide... But the marketer who created it.

  • Would I take money-making advice from a newbie?

That would not be too smart of me if the newbie wasn't actually making any yet, would it?
  • yes i am its like planting a seed to success )
  • I think a guide explaining the various terminology within IM would be a great place to start. When I first started looking at this stuff, they were talking about things like "squeeze pages", which sounded to me like some kind of kinky porno term I'd never come across before! And I'd come across some pretty kinky things up til then....
  • Im not sure. It's a gamble.
Who's to say the WSO you're gonna buy isn't readily available on the netz ?
  • I answered yes, leveraging skills from other people who have been there, done that is the way to go. Why reinvent the wheel?
  • You can either research it yourself, or take the plunge and
shell out some cash. The great thing about paying for something
is that you are more likely to actually take action on the information
considering that you have actually invested in it.

I have done and will continue to do both
  • I would (and I did when i first started off). Although these were cheap guides (not too expensive at all), but at least it gave me the guidance I needed to head in the right direction.
  • No,

Its all information that is freely available on sites such as vipechill.com and smartpassiveincome.com

Also you need to learn how to mine information eventually (Google Fu!) otherwise you will always be left behind.
  • Sure I would. Like sexy sue said "we all have to start from somewhere!"
  • I'd have to say yes. If I actually found a guide from the hundreds that are posted in the WSO forum, I'd probably be interested in buying such information. The trick is to filter out the ones that aren't worth spending your money on..
  • Duplicate post. Sorry.

Yes, I would. But I would love to read thousand of review b4 invest in any guide..
  • I'm sure anyone would do it.
  • I started with a guide (Day Job Killer, if I remember right) and it was just the start I needed. I would do it again!
  • Definitely, yes. I would want to learn from someone who's done it.

    • Definitely! And I have more than a few times. Each time I learn something new. I've also paid for mentoring and have found that to be valuable also.
  • of course I bought guides about making money online. Because they take them much more time to gadder this info that presented in their ebooks.

I prefer reading eBooks more than video tutorials or any other method of learning.

All you need is to invest your money in a comprehensive guide that simple each step and is like monitor for you.

You could check for Warrior Special Offer Forum and find the appropriate one.

I am not promoting my eBook here; I almost finish from writing an eBook in making money online provide much proven methods such as choosing the right domain namen choosing the perfect web hosting,
how to build a website, SEO, Article writing, article submission, directory submission, social media marketing, facebook marketing, twitter marketing, squidoo marketing, youtube marketing, HubPages marketing and others.

Everyone would do well to remember that all successful business stands on the foundation of morality.
  • I'd say the WSO Forum, along with the millions of dollars spent in the MMO niche is all the proof you need that YES, people will pay money for a guide on how to make money!
  • I have literally paid hundreds of dollars before i started making money online. The point is not only to pay for a making money online guide.

The point is to TAKE ACTION and implement everything you will learn in there to actually make money online.Got it?

    Dimitris
  • I tend to be leery of people offering this service, but they can prove that they are able to actually guide me, then I probably would.
  • yeah sure, isn't most wso is about how to make money online?
however, in most cases, a newbie with money will often buy many WSO's..
  • I would pay for a guide/dictionary of internet marketing terms because I've yet to find a good one online. All of the information I've learned has come in bits and pieces.
  • Yes absolutely, but I would do plenty of research first to ensure that I was buying something worthwhile.

Although I say that with the power of hindsight. When I was a newbie I spent plenty of money on courses that weren't to good. I also went from one shiny thing to the next until I relasised I had to stick at and get good at one thing at a time.
  • Yes, I would.
And lets be honest, we've all done that. No?
  • Most definitely if I thought it was going to help
  • You can't learn from yourself. The problem though would be would I trust that person to give me solid information. Honestly, there are enough people on here who have enough knowledge better than any guide you can buy unless you are going to work with a solid mentor who has a good track record.
  • Not right away.

I think it's best to read some of the information in this forum first and determine who has a reputation for solid material.
  • I would buy a guide to help me make money if I were a complete newbie.

The reason I would buy one is because I would need to see a map of how to get to my destination before I started my journey. If I did it the other way around, I would get lost so fast I would have to beg for help.

So remember find a good guide and follow the advice.
  • Yes, it's a good idea to have an idea of the basic approach to starting your business. Even though it doesn't guarantee anything, you need to learn how to crawl before you can learn how to walk!
  • For sure, you have to learn to crawl before you can learn to walk and run.
  • This question has a very obvious answer, but then again, the answer you are looking for depends on what you aim to do with it.
  • Yes, I'll surely pay for it!

    Thanks
  • It's not like I'm not a newbie but still I probably wouldn't buy a guide unless I'm 100% sure it's worth it.
  • I did when I first started, but then I wisened up and stopped spending money and instead, started doing.
  • I thought the whole purpose of this forum was to convince newbs to pay for advice!
  • Of course I would. It's very hard to get started online by yourself if you don't read any guides. Although some of the guides you buy won't help, you always store that information gained so if you need it later than you can use it.
  • When you are a newbie it is very hard to know who is REAL and who is faking it(I mean in IM).

This thread made me think of my newbie days I used to read a lot back then. The first ebook that made a good impression was Stone Evans' guide on PIPS but as of now I cannot tell how relevant it is but everything was clearly laid out. Honest Riches was also a good guide that accelerated my learning. I have heard people say that it is just a basic guide. Yes, if you ask me NOW I would say it is a basic guide but for a newbie it is an excellent resource.

IMHO I would ask a newbie to buy a guide that consolidates everything so that he/she will have a basic idea about the things that make money online and then as OPs said research the forums to optimize the methods. You can't multiply zeros you need to have a grasp on how things work.
  • Absolutely, I would. Learn from others.
  • A guide on how to make money online will not hurt at all especially if you have the faintest idea on how to go about it. But before you embark on something that you have to pay, weigh your options first. For instance, would the information be available online for free? If yes, then weigh again the situations if there is a need for you to purchase the guide or not.

Social network has done a great deal in providing free information to a lot of people. Social network comes in different formats. You can learn a thing or two just by watching videos. Others learn from joining forums such as this one. If the information that you have gathered seems to be insufficient, then go for the guide.

However, make sure that you have read the feedback from people who bought this guide that you are aiming at. This is just to make sure that you don't waste your money for something that you might just place in your archive folder or worst, in your trash folder.

    • It is very hard for a newbie to weigh the options. He/she cannot determine if the info is available for free and how authentic it is. Typically, what happens is a newbie types "how to make money online" on Google lands up in an SEO optimized affiliate site which hypes up a CB program(usually typing jobs, survey sites) and these sites do not spell out what the opportunity is about. I came across a site that said "You can type 2 or 3 lines and earn cash everyday" now a newbie would think it is data entry and get excited but later he will find that it is Google adwords where he has to spend money for every click.

This is really good advice never buy a product on impulse especially when you are a newbie.
  • I believe that many people have bought such a guide. However, there are a lot of people selling such a guide and you may find that convincing people to buy your s rather than anyone else's to be challenging. Then there's the issue of offerring a refund guarantee, which nearly everyone does, and that can hit your profits.....

    Kind regards,

    John
  • isn't that how most people get started. I mean look at all the Gurus selling and look at all the newbies buying!
    Lexilou
  • yes I think most people buy information when they first start off in I.M but they are looking for an a to z road map not just basics of everything.
    regards

  • Without doubt, yes. When starting out, as I am, I thinks its important to take in as much information as possible - list building, website creation, clickbank etc. Many of these things you may not end up needing or using, but you will make an INFORMED choice.
The ability to listen and learn is always your best asset.
  • I started with a guide but you have to be careful with all of the crap that's on the internet today.
